Asian Games 2018: Dutee Chand wins silver in women’s 200M race

India’s Dutee Chand won a silver medal in women’s 200m race event in the 18th edition of the Asian Games 2018 in Jakarta Indonesia. 

Dutee Chand finished with a timing of 23.20 seconds to clinch silver medal in women's 200m final race.
 
Bahrain’s Odiong Edidiong finished with a timing of clocked 22.96 seconds to won gold medal in final events.
 
China’s Wei Yongli finished with a timing of clocked 23.27 seconds to won bronze medal.
 
This is the second medal for Dutee Chand at the Asian Games 2018 this year’s as she has clinched silver medal in the women’s 100m final events on Sunday.

Dutee's medal ended India's 16-year wait for a medal in the women's 200m event.  Saraswati Saha was the last athlete to win a medal (gold) in the event back in 2002.
 
Dutee's silver in the 100m was also India's second at the Games after PT Usha's silver medal at the 1986 Asiad in Seoul.
