IAF gets its first Apache attack helicopter from Boeing facility in US
The Indian Air Force (IAF) received its 1st Apache Guardian attack helicopter AH-64E (I) during a ceremony at the Boeing production facility in Mesa, Arizona, US (United States). (12th May 2019)
This first attack helicopter in India’s defence arsenal was received by Air Marshal AS Butola, IAF.
IAF had signed a contract with the US government and Boeing in September 2015 for 22 such attack choppers. The first batch of the AH-64E Apache attack choppers is scheduled to be shipped by July this year.
