1. Incredible India Campaign Wins Pata Gold Award 2019
  • The Incredible India's "Find the Incredible You" campaign released globally by the Ministry of Tourism during 2018-19 has won the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Gold Award 2019.
  • The campaign won the award under the "Marketing - Primary Government Destination" category.
  • An official release said this year's awards attracted 198 entries from 78 organisations and individuals worldwide.

2. National Investigation Agency (Amendment) Bill, 2019 unanimously passed by Rajya Sabha
  • The National Investigation Agency (Amendment) Bill, 2019 was unanimously passed by Rajya Sabha.
  • After being passed by both Houses, the NIA now would receive the powers to investigate terror crimes relating to Indians and Indian interests abroad.

3. President Kovind Inaugurates Additional Building Complex of Supreme Court
  • The President of India Ram Nath Kovind, inaugurated the Additional Building Complex of the Supreme Court of India in New Delhi.
  • He also received a copy of translations of 100 Supreme Court judgements in various regional languages.

4. Cabinet approves Inter-Institutional Agreement between India and USA for cooperation in the field of medicine
  • The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given ex-post facto approval to the Inter-Institutional Agreement between India and the USA in the areas of regenerative medicine and 3D bioprinting, new technologies, exchange of scientific ideas/information and technologies, and joint use of scientific infrastructure.

5. Cabinet approves extension of the term of the Fifteenth Finance Commission up to 30th November, 2019
  • The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved the extension of the term of Fifteenth Finance Commission up to 30th November, 2019. 
  • It will enable the Commission to examine various comparable estimates for financial projections in view of reforms and the new realities to finalise its recommendations for the period 2020-2025.

6. Cabinet approves Amendment in the Terms of Reference for the Fifteenth Finance Commission
  • The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved the proposed amendment to enable Fifteenth Finance Commission to address serious concerns regarding the allocation of adequate, secure and non-lapsable funds for defence and internal security of India.

7. Yes Bank Q1 profit falls 91% on high provisions
  • Private sector lender Yes Bank said June quarter with a Rs 113.76 crore standalone profit against loss of Rs 1,506.64 crore in the previous quarter due to sharp fall in provisions.
  • Yes Bank posted a net profit of ₹113.76 crore for the quarter ended 30 June from ₹1,260.36 crore a year ago.

8. Wipro Q1 net profit up 12.5% to Rs 2,387.6 crore
  • IT services giant Wipro said a net profit of Rs 2,387.6 crore for the first quarter, ended June 30, up 12.58 per cent against Rs 2,120.8 crore posted in the same period last year.

  • Larsen & Toubro-acquired Mindtree has appointed A.M. Naik (Anilkumar Manibhai Naik) as the non-executive chairman of the company with effect from July 18, 2019.

  • Indian shooter Anish Bhanwala won his second ISSF Junior World Cup 2019 gold in the men's 25m rapid fire pistol at Suhl, Germany.
