Vande Bharat Express Delhi to Katra: Indian Railways’ Northern Railway zone has successfully conducted the Confirmatory Oscillograph Car Runs (COCR) trial of the new Vande Bharat Express (Train 18) on the Delhi-Katra route.

Indian Railways' gift to the devotees of Mata Vaishno Devi is expected to run from next month, the train would reach Katra from New Delhi in 8 hours.

According to the Railway officials the train started its journey from New Delhi at 6 am and was scheduled to reach Katra at 2 pm the same day. On its way to Katra, the train reached platform number 6 of the Ambala Cantonment railway station, 4 minutes earlier than its scheduled time at 8.06 am and departed at 8.12 am after changing crew members. “After Ambala, the train reached Ludhiana, 2 minutes before the scheduled time at 9.17 am and departed 5 minutes late as per its scheduled time at 9.26 am. The train reached Katra station 3 minutes late from its scheduled time at 2.03 pm.
