Rajiv Gauba Takes Over as the New Cabinet Secretary

Rajiv Gauba took over as the new Cabinet Secretary in the Government of India after the superannuation of P.K. Sinha.

Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh to visit Japan and South Korea from 02 - 06 September, 2019

Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh is scheduled to visit Japan (02-03 September, 2019) and South Korea (05-06 September, 2019) to strengthen defence and military ties with Japan and South Korea.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will visit both the countries for two days each in September.

Raksha Mantri will co-chair the Annual Defence Ministerial Dialogue with his counterpart, Mr Takeshi Iwaya, Minister of Defence of Japan.

The Ministerial Dialogue will aim to further strengthen India-Japan Special Strategic and Global Partnership and include wide-ranging discussions to enhance the bilateral defence and security engagements between between the two countries.

GeM and SIDBI sign MoU to enable growth of MSMEs, Start-ups and Women Entrepreneurs

Government e Marketplace (GeM), Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce and Industry has signed an MoU with Small Industries Development Bank of India [SIDBI] to benefit MSMEs, women entrepreneurs, Self Help Groups (SHGs), Women Self Help Groups and various loan beneficiaries under MUDRA and Stand-up India scheme.

This MoU will enable promotion of special initiatives of GeMlike Womaniya and Start-up Runway with SIDBI stakeholders. GeM and SIDBI will take steps to ensure payments within a guaranteed timeframe to sellers, enhance working capital availability through bill discounting and control NPAs through control of end use.
