Government appoints Ajay Kumar as new Defence Secretary

The Modi government appoints Senior bureaucrat Ajay Kumar the new Defence Secretary. He will replace Sanjay Mitra whose term ends on August 23.

Ajay Kumar, a 1985-batch IAS officer of Kerala cadre, is at present additional secretary in the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
