Vice Chief of Air Staff RKS Bhadauria appointed next Chief of Air Staff
Government has decided to appoint Air Marshal RKS Bhadauria, PVSM, AVSM, VM, ADC, presently Vice Chief of Air Staff as the next Chief of the Air Staff after the retirement of Air Chief Marshal BS Dhanoa, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, VM, ADC on 30th September 2019.
Air Marshal RKS Bhadauria was commissioned into the Fighter Stream of Indian Air Force in June 1980, and has held various Command, Staff and Instructional Appointments at various levels including the present one as Vice Chief of Air Staff.
This Air Officer is decorated with PVSM, AVSM, VM and he is one of the ADCs to the Supreme Commander........Read More
HRD Minister Nishank Chairs the Special Meeting of Central Advisory Board of Education (CABE)
Union Human Resource Minister, Ramesh Pokhriyal ’Nishank’ chaired the Special Meeting of the Central Advisory Board of Education (CABE) held in New Delhi.
The meeting was attended by Prahlad Singh Patel, MoS(Independent Charge) for Ministry of Culture and Ministry of Tourism, Kiren Rijiju, MoS (Independent Charge) for Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and MoS, Ministry of Minority Affairs, and Sanjay Dhotre, Minister of State for Human Resource Development.
The Minister also launched the Plagiarism Detection Software (PDS) "ShodhShuddhi”. This service is being implemented by INFLIBNET, an Inter University Centre (IUC) of UGC. PDS will significantly help to improve the quality of research outcomes by ensuring the originality of ideas and publication of the research scholars. Initially, about 1000 Universities/ Institutions (Central Universities; Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs); State Public Universities; Deemed Universities; Private Universities; Inter University Centre (IUCs) & Institutes of National Importance are being provided with this service.
Kargil to Kohima (K2K) Ultra Marathon - “Glory Run” Flagged off from KARGIL
The Kargil to Kohima (K2K) Ultra-Marathon- “Glory Run” was flagged off by Air Vice Marshal PM Sinha AVSM VSM, Air Officer Commanding Jammu and Kashmir, from Kargil War Memorial, Drass.
The Kargil to Kohima (K2K) Ultra-Marathon- “Glory Run” is being undertaken by IAF from Kargil War Memorial, Drass (J&K) to Kohima War Cemetery, Kohima (Nagaland) to commemorate 20th year of Kargil Victory and to live up to the true tradition and motto of IAF i.e. “Touch the Sky with Glory”, a unique expedition.
Kohima and Kargil are the two forward most outposts of India in the East and in the North where two of the fiercest battles were fought in 1944 and 1999 respectively.
In this unique tryst, a team of 25 Air Warriors will cover a distance of more than 4500 Km in 45 days by running an average of 100 Km per day.
The aim of the expedition is to promote awareness for Pedestrian Safety and recently launched Fit India Movement by the Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi and also to pay tribute to the brave hearts who have made the supreme sacrifice for our motherland......Read More
