PM Narendra Modi receives Global Goalkeeper Award for Swachh Bharat Mission

Prime Minister Narendra Modi received the 2019 Goalkeepers Global Goals Award for Swachh Bharat programme from Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

This award recognizes the progress India has made in providing safe sanitation under his leadership.

The award from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation was presented to PM Modi by Bill Gates in New York.

Swachh Bharat Mission was launched on October 2, 2014 by PM Modi government.

After receiving the Global Goalkeeper Award for Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, PM Narendra Modi dedicated this award to the 130 crore Indians who made the initiative a part of their daily lives.
