1. President Kovind Inaugurates 6th India Water Week-2019

The President of India, Ram Nath Kovind, inaugurated the 6th India Water Week-2019, at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi.
The theme of the India Water Week-2019 is ‘Water Cooperation – Coping with 21st Century Challenges’ and it is being organised by the Department of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation, the Ministry of Jal Shakti.

2. President Kovind presents National Service Scheme Awards

The President of India, Ram Nath Kovind, presented the National Service Scheme (NSS) Awards for 2017-18 to universities, NSS units and NSS volunteers at Rashtrapati Bhavan New Delhi.

3. PM Narendra Modi receives Global Goalkeeper Award for Swachh Bharat Mission

Prime Minister Narendra Modi received the 2019 Goalkeepers Global Goals Award for Swachh Bharat programme from Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
This award recognizes the progress India has made in providing safe sanitation under his leadership.
The award from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation was presented to PM Modi by Bill Gates in New York.

Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan will be conferred with the Dadasaheb Phalke award 2019. Dadasaheb Phalke award, conferred for “outstanding contribution for the growth and development of Indian cinema” will be presented this year to Amitabh Bachchan.

5. Prahlad Singh Patel inaugurates the exhibition of ITM 2019

Minister of State for Culture and Tourism (Independent Charge), Prahlad Singh Patel inaugurated the exhibition of India Tourism Mart (ITM) 2019 in New Delhi.
The Ministry of Tourism and the Federation of Associations in Indian Tourism and Hospitality (FAITH) have jointly organized this Mart.
Over 240 international delegates from 51 countries and 160 exhibitors from across the country are taking part in the second edition of ITM.

7. Narendra Singh Tomar launches two agriculture related Mobile Apps

Narendra Singh Tomar, Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Launches two mobile Apps – ‘CHC Farm Machinery and Krishi Kisan App for Geo Tagging’ in New Delhi.
CHC Farm Machinery App, farmers can select and order the required machinery at the rates feasible for them from the Custom Hiring Centers located in the radius of 50 Kms.
The Krishi Kisan App will provide farmers the information of best demonstration of high-yielding crops and seeds in their nearby area. Any farmer with high quality of crops can utilise this platform to demonstrate best practices of cultivation to other farmers so that this will help other farmers also to adopt these methods.
