1. 9th India-China Financial Dialogue held in New Delhi
  • The 9th India-China Financial dialogue was held in New Delhi. A high level Chinese delegation led by Ms. Zou Jiayi, Vice Minister, Ministry of Finance, People’s Republic of China interacted with the Indian delegation led by Shri Atanu Chakraborty, Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Government of India on wide-ranging issues of mutual interest.
  • The India-China Financial Dialogue is a mechanism between the two countries with an aim to promote cooperation in the financial sector.

2. Minister Harsh Vardhan launches ‘TB Harega Desh Jeetega’ Campaign
  • Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare launched the new TB Harega Desh Jeetega Campaign, along with the National TB Prevalence Survey.
  • Multi-stakeholder and community participation shall form the pivot of the countrywide campaign.

  • Union HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' chaired the 12th Meeting of National Institute of Technology, Science Education and Research (NITSER) in New Delhi.
  • The meeting was attended by Directors of the National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur and Chairpersons of Board of Governors of these Institutes.
  • Issues related to enhancing the academic performance of the Institutes alongwith ways to achieving the higher educational standards were discussed in detail.

  • According to the latest IIFL Wealth Hurun India Rich List 2019, Reliance Industries' Chairman Mukesh Ambani has topped the list of richest Indians for the eighth consecutive year with a net worth of Rs 3,80,700 crore.
