1. Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh co-chairs Japan – India Defence Ministerial Meeting in Tokyo
  • Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh co-chaired the Japan – India Defence Ministerial Meetingwith Defence Minister of Japan Mr Takeshi lwaya in Tokyo. The dialogue discussed various issues of mutual concern including ways to further strengthen the existing bilateral co-operative arrangements and adopt new initiatives towards achieving peace and security in the region.
  • The lndo-Pacific vision was discussed at length with an expression of India's preference for a rules-based order along with centrality of Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) and inclusiveness and security for all.

2. Joint Naval Annual Quality Conclave (JNAQC) to be held in Visakhapatnam
  • The Joint Naval Annual Quality Conclave (JNAQC) under the theme ‘Transformation of QA Paradigm: Opportunities and Challenges’ will be hosted by the Naval Quality Assurance Establishments under the aegis of Director General Quality Assurance (DGQA), Ministry of Defence in Visakhapatnam on September 05, 2019.

3. Election Commission of India Launches a One Stop Solution to Verify & Authenticate Voter Details
  • Electors Verification Programme, a special camp was held at Election Commission of India Headquarters in New Delhi on September 1, 2019.
  • The main aim of the programme is to improve the health of Electoral rolls and to provide better electoral services to citizens and increase the level of Communication between voters and the Commission.
  • The program has been launched at all Levels starting from the State/UT Headquarters by 32 CEOs, District level by about 700 DEOs and at around 1 million Polling Stations by BLOs/EROs and will continue fromSeptember 1, 2019 to October 15, 2019.
