Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to inaugurate National e-Assessment Centre of Income Tax Department


The setting up of National e-Assessment Centre (NeAC) of the Income Tax Department is a momentous step towards the larger objectives of better taxpayer service, reduction of taxpayer grievances.
The new initiative shall impart greater efficiency, transparency and accountability in the assessment process. There would be no physical interface between the tax payers and the tax officers.

The new system, taxpayers will receive notices on their registered e-mails as well as on registered accounts on the web portal (incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in.)

They will also receive real-time alerts by way of SMS on their registered mobile number, specifying the issues for which their cases have been selected for scrutiny.

The replies to the notices can be prepared at ease by the tax payers at their own residence or office and be sent by email to the National e-Assessment Centre by uploading the same on the designated web portal.......Read More


Golden Jubilee Edition of International Film Festival of India (IFFI) 2019 to be held in Goa from November 20-28

IFFIGoaThe 50th International Film Festival of India, IFFI 2019, will be held from November 20-28 in Goa.

Over 200 best films from 76 countries, 26 feature films and 15 non-feature films in the Indian Panorama section will be screened at the film festival.

Around 10,000 people and film lovers are expected to participate in the golden jubilee edition. This was announced by the Union Minister for Information & Broadcasting, Prakash Javadekar in New Delhi.

The Minister also stated that as IFFI is celebrating its Golden Jubilee edition , 12 prominent films in different languages that have completed 50 years in 2019.

Dadasaheb Phalke Award winner Shri. Amitabh Bachchan’s outstanding contribution to Cinema will be honoured and celebrated through a package of his impactful and entertaining films in the 50thedition”, said Union Minister Javadekar.


Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh to leave for France to receive first Rafale fighter aircraft

Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh will leave New Delhi on Monday, October 7th to France on a two day official visit. On October 8th, Rajnath Singh will meet Mr Emmanuel Macron, President of the French.

 Rajnath Singh will hold the Annual Defence dialogue with French Minister of Armed Forces Ms Florence Parly.

Opening Ceremony: 14th edition of Indo-Mongolian Joint Exercise Nomadic Elephant 2019

Opening Ceremony: 14th edition of Indo - Mongolian joint military training, Exercise Nomadic Elephant 2019 commenced. The exercise will be conducted from 05 to 18 Oct 19 at Bakloh.

The Mongolian Army is being represented by officers and troops of the elite 084 Air Borne Special Task Battalion while Indian Army is being represented by a battalion of the RAJPUTANA RIFLES Regiment.

Nomadic Elephant - XIV is the fourteenth edition between the two nations aimed at training troops in counter insurgency & counter terrorism operations under United Nations mandate.

The joint exercise will enhance defence co-operation and military relations between the two nations. It is an ideal platform for the armies of both the nations to share their experiences & best practices and gain mutually during the joint training.

The joint training aims at evolving various tactical drills in counter-terror environment like Convoy Protection Drill, Room Intervention Drills, Ambush/ Counter Ambush Drills, while jointly conducting counter terrorist operations under UN mandate.

Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan to visit Mongolia

Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas and Steel Dharmendra Pradhan, accompanied by an official and business delegation, will be visiting Mongolia on 7-9 October 2019, as a follow up of the State visit the President of Mongolia to India in September 2019.

On 8th October 2019, the Minister will participate in the opening ceremony of infrastructure that Mongolia has already constructed for the Indian funded, Mongol Refinery project.

Union Minister Pradhan will have meetings with the Mongolian Minister for Mining and Heavy Industry to, inter alia, develop a roadmap for commencing the construction of the Refinery. Possible areas of collaboration in other sectors like mining, coking coal, and railways will also be discussed.
