1. 19th Session of the India-Finland Joint Commission concludes
  • The 19th Session of the India-Finland Joint Commission was held in New Delhi on 20th – 21st November, 2019. The Technical Session was held on 20th November, 2019 and the Joint Commission Session on 21st November, 2019.
  • The Joint Commission Session was co-chaired by Ms. Nidhi Mani Tripathi, Joint Secretary, Department of Commerce, Government of India, from Indian side, and by Ms. Piritta Asunmaa, Director General, Department for the Americas and Asia, Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland, from the Finnish side.


2. India and Finland sign an MoU for strengthening cooperation in the field of Tourism
  • India and Finland sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for strengthening cooperation in the field of Tourism.
  • The MOU was signed by Prahlad Singh Patel, Minister for Culture and Tourism (Independent Charge), Ministry of Tourism, Government of India and Minister for Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment, Government of Finland Mr Timo Harakka.


3. Minister Jitendra Singh to inaugurate ‘Destination North East’ Festival on 23rd November
  • The Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) Dr Jitendra Singh will inaugurate the ‘Destination North East’ Festival in Varanasi, Uttar Pradeshon 23rd November, 2019.
  • The festival is being organised by the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), Government of India.


4. Conference of Governors and Lt. Governors on November 23-24 at Rashtrapati Bhavan
  • A two-day Conference of Governors and Lt. Governors on November 23 and 24, 2019 at Rashtrapati Bhavan. This will be the 50th such Conference to be held in Rashtrapati Bhavan and the third Conference to be presided over by President Ram Nath Kovind.
  • The two-day Conference will discuss important thematic issues in various sessions. It includes tribal issues, reforms in agriculture, Jal Jeevan Mission, new education policy for higher education and governance for ease of living.


5. India and Uzbekistan sign Security Cooperation Agreement
  • India and Uzbekistan sign Security Cooperation Agreement in New Delhi. A delegation from Uzbekistan, led by Minister of Internal Affairs, Mr. Pulat Bobojonov, met the Indian delegation, led by Union Minister for Home Affairs, Shri Amit Shah, in New Delhi. Mr. Bobojonov is on a bilateral visit to India from November 20-23, 2019.


6. Harsh Vardhanand, Dharmendra Pradhan to inaugurate the Global Bio-India Summit
  • Union Minister for Science & Technology, Earth Sciences and Health & Family Welfare, Dr. Harsh Vardhan and Minister for Petroleum & Natural Gas and Steel Dharmendra Pradhan will inaugurate the Global Bio-India Summit, 2019.
  • The Summit will provide an opportunity to showcase the potential of India’s biotech sector to the international community, identify, create opportunities and deliberate on the key challenges in the areas of Bio-pharma, Bio-Agri, Bio-Industrial, Bio-Energy and Bio-Services and allied sectors.


7. NuGen Mobility Summit 2019 held in Manesar
  • The International Centre for Automotive Technology (ICAT) is organizing the NuGen Mobility Summit 2019 from 27th to 29th November, 2019 at Center 2 in Manesar, Gurugram.
