1. Amit Shah to inaugurate SCO Joint Urban Earthquake Search & Rescue Exercise (SCOJTEX)-2019
  • Union Home Minister Amit Shah will inaugurate the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Joint Exercise on Urban Earthquake Search & Rescue (SCOJTEx-2019) on 04th November, 2019 at Dr. Ambedkar International Center, New Delhi.

2. PM Modi  to visit Thailand from 2nd-4th November 2019
  • PM Modi  in Thailand:  Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting Bangkok, Thailand today. PM Modi to participate in the 16th ASEAN-India Summit on November 3 and the 14th East Asia Summit and the 3rd Summit meeting of nations negotiating a Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) agreement on November 4.
  • In his departure statement, Prime Minister Modi said ASEAN related Summits are key elements of India’s foreign policy, most notably our Act East Policy. Highlighting the importance of East Asia Summit, Prime Minister said it gives an opportunity to present our vision for the Indo-Pacific region.

4. 8th Indo German Energy Forum (IGEF) 2019 held in Delhi: Eight Agreements/MoUs inked
  • The 8th meeting of the Indo – German Energy Forum concluded on 1st November, 2019 in New Delhi. The Forum was co-chaired by Mr. Sanjiv Nandan Sahai, Secretary. (Power) from the Indian side and Mr. Christian Hirte, Secretary of State, Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy, Germany. 
  • Ministry of Power and Ministry of New & Renewable Energy signed 8 Implementation Agreements/ MoUs with the German counterparts.

5. Germany to invest 1 billion euros for eco-friendly urban mobility in India
  • German Chancellor Angela Merkel pledged to invest 1 billion euros over the next five years on environmentally-friendly urban mobility in India.
  • “We have agreed to co-operate on climate protection and green urban mobility and have earmarked €1 billion towards this,” Ms. Merkel said at an event here.

6. Legendary actor Rajinikanth to be conferred with ‘Icon of Golden Jubilee of IFFI’

7. French actor Isabelle Huppert to be honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Golden Jubilee edition of International Film Festival of India (IFFI) 2019
  • One of the most famous and most popular French actors of her generation Isabelle Anne Madeleine Huppert will be conferred with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Golden Jubilee edition of International Film Festival of India (IFFI) 2019.
  • This was announced by the Union Minister for Information & Broadcasting, Shri Prakash Javadekar in New Delhi.
