3rd India-Australia Secretary-level 2+2 Dialogue was held in New Delhi

The third India-Australia Secretary-level 2+2 Dialogue was held in New Delhi. The Indian delegation was led by Defence Secretary Dr Ajay Kumar and Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale, while the Australian side was led by Defence Secretary Mr Greg Moriarty and Foreign Secretary Ms Frances Adamson.

Minister Jitendra Singh inaugurates ‘Digital Exhibition on history of Constitution of India’

The Minister of State for Development of North Eastern Region (I/C) Dr. Jitendra Singh inaugurated the ‘Digital Exhibition on History of Constitution of India’, in New Delhi

The exhibition has been organised by the Department of Personnel & Training, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, in collaboration with Parliament Museum and Archives of Lok Sabha Secretariat and Bureau of Outreach and Communication for two days i.e. 9-10 December, 2019 at Gate No.8, North Block, New Delhi.


The Constitution of India was adopted on 26th November, 1949, and the Members appended their signatures to it on 24.01.1950. In all, 284 Members (total Members-299) actually signed the Constitution. The Constitution of India came into force on 26.01.1950. The day of adoption of the Constitution is being celebrated in the country as “Constitution Day”.....Read More 



Ram Vilas Paswan inaugurates workshop for State Governments on ‘Standard for Drinking Water’

The Union Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Ram Vilas Paswan inaugurated the One Day Workshop organized by the Bureau of Indian Standard with the aim to disseminate information about requirements of Indian Standard with specification for Drinking Water (IS 10500:2012) and other Indian Standards so as to ensure that quality drinking water is provided to all households across the nation.

During the workshop, information regarding the certification schemes and testing facilities required for compliance with IS 10500:2012 for providing safe drinking water was also disseminated. The similarities between relevant International Standards, Indian Standard and WHO Guidelines were also explained. Representatives from various States were updated about the measures being taken to ensure supply of safe drinking water and suggestions regarding same were also discussed.



Bangladesh Navy Chief Aurangzeb Chaudhary on official visit to India

Admiral Aurangzeb Chowdhury, Chief of Naval Staff Bangladesh Navy is on an official visit to India from 07 – 12 Dec 19.

The visit aims to consolidate bilateral relations between India and Bangladesh, as also to explore new avenues for naval cooperation.

During his visit, Chief of Naval Staff, Bangladesh Navy will have bilateral discussions with Admiral Karambir Singh, Chief of the Naval Staff and other senior officials of the Indian Armed Forces.

Various important maritime engagement issues related to operational interactions such as conduct of Bilateral Exercise, Port Calls by ships, Training, Hydrography cooperation, participation in various Indian Ocean Region (IOR) related events such as Indian Ocean Naval Symposium (IONS), MILAN 2020 etc would be discussed during the visit.



J&K Lt Governor Girish Chandra Murmu inaugurates 72-metre all weather bridge in Rajouri

Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor Girish Chandra Murmu dedicated the 72-metre-long Multi Cell Box Type Load Class 70 bridge to the Nation in Rajouri.

The bridge spans over Draj nallah and connected Draj Area to Tehsil Kotranka area under District Rajouri.

Lt Governor praised Border Roads Organisation (BRO) for their dedication and nation building through infrastructure development and war preparedness through construction of roads, bridges and tunnels.
