Prime Minister Narendra Modi attends celebrations on signing of Bodo Peace Accord at Kokrajhar in Assam

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was participating in the celebrations of the signing of the Bodo Agreement at Kokrajhar in Assam. A Cultural programme of ethnic groups of Assam is being organized by the State Government.

This is his first visit to the North-East since the signing of the historic accord on the 27th of January 2020.

Over 1,615 cadres of different factions of the National Democratic Front of Bodoland surrendered their arms and joined the mainstream within two days of the signing of the agreement.

Government announced A special package of 1,500 crore rupees has been earmarked for the development of the region.
