Sanjay Kothari sworn in as Central Vigilance Commissioner (CVC)

Sanjay Kothari appointed as new Central Vigilance Commissioner (CVC) of India: Sanjay Kothari was sworn in as the Central Vigilance Commissioner (CVC) at Rashtrapati Bhavan. President Ram Nath Kovind administered the Oath of Office to the Chief Vigilance Commissioner (CVC) Sanjay Kothari at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Sanjay Kothari was working as the Secretary to President Ram Nath Kovind.

Mr. Kothari, a 1978 Haryana cadre IAS officer, has been formally appointed more than two months after a High Powered Committee (HPC) headed by Mr. Modi selected him as the next CVC.


Mr. Kothari retired as DoPT Secretary in June 2016.  He was then appointed the chairman of the Public Enterprises Selection Board in November 2016.
