I. India has Air Bubble Agreements with 10 Countries: Highlights with Details
  1. India has entered into Air Bubble agreements with 10 countries viz. USA, Canada, France, Germany, UK, Maldives, UAE, Qatar, Afghanistan and Bahrain, till 13.09.2020.
  2. These are temporary agreements between two countries aimed at restarting commercial passenger services when regular international flights are suspended as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.



II. Education Ministry organise Webinar on “Competency Based Education and Learning Outcomes” under Shikshak Parv Initiative: Quick Highlights 
  1. A webinar on Competency Based Education and Learning Outcomes was organized by Ministry of Education under Shikshak Parv Initiative.
  2. Shikshak Parv is being celebrated by Ministry of Education from 8th September- 25th September, 2020 to felicitate the Teachers and to take New Education Policy 2020 forward.



III. 36th National Games allotted to Goa have been postponed due to Covid-19 pandemic
  1. The 36th National Games allotted to Goa, which was scheduled from 20.10.2020 to 04.11.2020, had been postponed due to outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic.
  2. Central assistance of Rs.97.80 crore has been released to the Government of Goa for creation / development of sports infrastructure for 36th National Games.


IV. G20 Environment Ministers Meet via Video Conference: Point-to-Point Details
  1. The Environment Ministerial Meeting (EMM) of the G20 countries took place today through video conferencing under the Presidency of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  2. Representing India, Union Environment, Climate Change and Forest Minister Shri Prakash Javadekar said, India has taken significant steps to protect environment and forest and wildlife as well as combating pollution and climate change.
  3. "At the G20 Environment meeting stated that the world has to channel its best practices to deal with Climate Change. India is committed to working with G20 nations for a better world and applauds the launch of the Global Initiative to Reduce Land Degradation & Coral Reef program".



V. Education Minister virtually confers Second Utkrisht Sansthan Vishwakarma Award on Vishwakarma Divas Celebration
  1. Union Education Minister Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ virtually confers Second Utkrisht Sansthan Vishwakarma Award in 14 categories to the Institutions under AICTE on Vishwakarma Divas Celebration.
  2. The Utkrisht Sansthan Vishwakarma Award is being organized by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) since 2019, which aims to motivate, recognize and honor the AICTE approved institutions to raise their performance in the specific domain leading to significant contribution for the growth and development of the society.





VI. Union Power minister dedicates various projects of NHPC and PFC under CSR activities

  1. R.K. Singh, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) (Power and New & Renewable Energy) & Minister of State (Skill Development and Entrepreneurship) dedicated various projects implemented under CSR activities of NHPC and PFC in Shahpur and Bihiya block of Bhojpur district through video conferencing.
  2. A total of 33 projects in Shahpur block and 39 projects in Bihayi block were dedicated during the programme. These projects in both the blocks include works as construction of PCC road at 55 locations, community building and chabutras at 3 locations, solar / LED / high mast lights at 7 locations, construction of open gym at 2 locations, construction of drainage system at 2 locations, Chhath Ghat at 1 location and library and community building at 2 locations. The total cost of all these projects is about Rs 9 crore.





VII. Bajrang Punia, Vinesh Phogat join online Fit India Freedom Run event at SAI Sonepat
  1. The Sports Authority of India’s Northern Regional Centre in Sonepat organised an online interaction earlier today with 391 participants on the Fit India Freedom Run.
  2. Star wrestlers and Khel Ratna winners in 2019 and 2020 respectively Bajrang Punia and Vinesh Phogat were among the speakers at the event that lasted for one and a half hours
  3. The event was inaugurated by Lalita Sharma, Regional Director, SAI NRC Sonepat and saw the participation of athletes and coaches from SAI Sonepat and SAI centres across Haryana in Hisar, Bhiwani, Kurukshetra, Bawana and Rohtak.
