India - Kazakhstan organise Defence Cooperation: Webinar and Expo 

A webinar between India and Kazakhstan was held on 15/10/2020. The Theme of webinar was “Make In India For The World, India – Kazakhstan Defence Cooperation: Webinar and Expo”. It was organized under the aegis of Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence through FICCI.

Lt Gen SK Saini, Vice Chief of the Army Staff visits United States of America 

Lt Gen SK Saini, Vice Chief of the Army Staff is proceeding on a visit to the United States of America from 17 to 20 Oct 2020. The aim of the visit is to enhance military cooperation between both the armies.

The Vice Chief of the Army Staff will visit the US Army Pacific Command (USARPRAC), the Army component of Indo-Pacific Command (INDOPACOM) and exchange ideas extensively with the military leadership apart from witnessing training and equipment capabilities of US Army. Later, the Vice Chief of the Army Staff will also visit INDOPACOM where aspects of military cooperation and furthering military to military engagement including procurements, training in niche domains, joint exercises and capability building will be discussed.


ECI appoints Shri M K Das as Special Police Observer for Bye-Elections to Legislative Assembly of Madhya Pradesh 

Election Commission of India has appointed Sh. Mrinal Kanti Das (IPS 1977 Retd.) as Special Police Observer for the upcoming Bye-Elections to the Legislative Assembly of Madhya Pradesh.

As Special Police Observer, Sh. M K Das is assigned to observe the conduct of bye-elections and poll preparedness, especially with regard to security related issues.

Sh. M K Das, who retired as Director General of Manipur Police, was also deputed as Special Police Observer for General Election to the Legislative Assembly of NCT of Delhi, 2020. Earlier, he was deputed in the same capacity for Tripura and Mizoram during the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, and also the Jharkhand Assembly elections of 2019.
