I. Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated Spice Heath mobile COVID-19 RT-PCR Lab at ICMR in New Delhi
  • The Union Home Minister, Shri Amit Shah today inaugurated a mobile COVID-19 RT-PCR Lab at the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) in New Delhi, jointly launched by Spice Health and the ICMR. 
  • The Union Health and Family Welfare Minister, Dr. Harsh Vardhan also participated in the inauguration function.
  • This testing lab and more such labs which are planned to be set up, shall help in adding more capacity to COVID-19 testing. The lab is accredited by NABL and approved by the ICMR. RT-PCR tests are most decisive and crucial for COVID-19 testing. 
  • These tests will cost Rs. 499/- and the cost of testing will be borne by the ICMR. The people of Delhi will not have to bear any cost.


II. Education Minister 'Nishank' inaugurates 46 online ATAL Faculty Development Programmes
  • Union Education Minister, Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' today inaugurated 46 online AICTE Training and Learning (ATAL) Academy Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs) to train teachers of higher education institutions associated with All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) in thrust and emerging areas in technology. The FDPs will be conducted in 22 Indian states.
  • The ATAL Academy is conducting FDPs in online mode, including the process of registration till certificate disbursal mechanism. In the year 2020-21, new thrust areas in the field of Engineering, Management, Life Skills, Design & Media have been incorporated.


III. 27 E-Lok Adalats organized in 15 States leading to disposal of 2.51 lakh cases from June to October, 2020
  • In the period of turbulence caused by the pandemic, Legal Services Authorities creatively adapted to the new normal and moved Lok Adalat to the virtual platform. From June, 2020 to October 2020, 27 E-Lok Adalats have been organized in 15 States wherein 4.83 lakh cases were taken up and 2.51 lakh cases disposed of resulting in settlement of Rs 1409 cr.
  • Further, during November 2020, E-Lok Adalats have been organized in the States of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Telangana so far wherein 16,651 cases were taken up and 12,686 disposed of resulting in settlement of Rs 107.4 cr.


IV. PM Modi to attend Centennial Foundation Day celebration of University of Lucknow on 25 November
  • Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will attend the celebration of Centennial Foundation Day of University of Lucknow on 25th November, 2020 at 5:30 PM via video conferencing. The University was established in 1920 and is celebrating its centennial (100th) year.
  • Prime Minister will unveil the University’s Centennial Commemorative Coin on the occasion. He will also release a special Commemorative Postal Stamp issued by India Post and its Special Cover during the event. Union Defence Minister, Governor of Uttar Pradesh and Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh will also be present on the occasion.


V. Former CM of Assam Tarun Gogoi passes away at 86 in Guwahati
  • Former chief minister of Assam and senior Congress leader Tarun Gogoi passed away on Monday evening in Guwahati. He was 86.
  • The senior Congress leader Tarun Gogoi was undergoing treatment for the past few days in Gauhati medical college and hospital following post COVID-19 complications.


VI. Prime Minister Narendra Modi condoles the passing away of former Assam CM Shri Tarun Gogoi
  • The Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has expressed grief over the demise of former Chief Minister of Assam, Shri Tarun Gogoi.
  • In a tweet, the Prime Minister said, "Shri Tarun Gogoi Ji was a popular leader and a veteran administrator, who had years of political experience in Assam as well as the Centre. Anguished by his passing away. My thoughts are with his family and supporters in this hour of sadness. Om Shanti."


VII. AAI observes Aviation Safety Awareness Week 23rd to 27th November 2020
  • Airports Authority of India (AAI) commenced Aviation Safety Awareness Week 2020 (23rd November to 27th November 2020). The week-long celebration is being observed at all airports and ANS locations managed by AAI across India.
  • Shri Arvind Singh, Chairman, AAI, requested all Regional Executive Directors & Airport Directors to be proactive and to devote time personally for monitoring safety performance of their respective region/station.
  • To raise awareness on Aviation Safety, AAI will undertake various employee engagement programs at the airports and ANS stations like reviewing of documents and facilities, Mock exercises, preventive maintenance etc.


VIII. PM Narendra Modi inaugurates Multi Storeyed flats for Members of Parliament
  • Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated Multi Storeyed flats for Members of Parliament through video conference, today. These flats are located at Dr B D Marg in New Delhi. Eight old bungalows, which were more than 80 years old, have been redeveloped to construct 76 flats.


IX. Thaawarchand Gehlot to inaugurate ADIP camp to provide Aids & Assistive devices to 1398 Divyangjan of Pudukottai, Tamil Nadu
  • Shri Thaawarchand Gehlot will inaugurate an “ADIP camp to provide Aids & Assistive devices to 1398 Divyangjan of Pudukottai, Tamil Nadu” tomorrow online through video conference.
  • Distribution camp for free distribution of assistive aids and devices at Block level for identified Divyangjans of Pudukottai District under the ADIP scheme of Government of India is being organized at District Collectorate campus in Pudukottai, Tamil Nadu
  • Total 1398 number of beneficiaries of Pudukkottai District will be provided with 2547 number of assistive appliances worth a value of Rs. 117 Lakhs. Distribution will be done Block wise in 09 different Blocks of Pudukkottai District.
