1. US President Joe Biden invites PM Modi to Global Summit on Climate: Quick Highlights
  • US President Joe Biden has invited 40 world leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to the Leaders' Summit on Climate to underscore the urgency and the economic benefits of stronger climate action.


2. 28th “Hunar Haat” inaugurated at Kala Academy, Panaji, Goa
  • Goa Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant inaugurated 28th “Hunar Haat” of indigenous artisans and craftsmen at Kala Academy, Campal, Panaji in the august presence of Union Minister for Minority Affairs Shri Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi.
  • The Union Ministry of Minority Affairs is organising the 28th “Hunar Haat” with the theme of “Vocal for Local” at Panaji, Goa from 26th March to 04th April where more than 500 artisans and craftsmen from more than 30 states/UTs are participating.


3. Govt. infuses Rs 5,500-crore equity capital into Punjab and Sind Bank
  • The government has infused Rs 5,500 crore equity capital into Punjab & Sind Bank in lieu of allotment of over 335 crore preference shares to it.
  • The lender on Thursday allocated 3,35,16,14,868 equity shares of the bank to the government at an issue of Rs 16.41 per equity share for Rs 5,500 crore.


4. Registration of pilgrims for Amarnath Yatra 2021 to start on April 1
  • Registration for the upcoming annual pilgrimage to the Himalayan cave shrine of Amarnath in south Kashmir will start from April 1.
  • The 56-day yatra to the 3,880-metre-high shrine is scheduled to start from the twin routes of Pahalgam and Baltal on June 28 and culminate on August 22.

  • According to the state television reported, Iran and China have inked a long-term cooperation agreement in Tehran, aims to expand bilateral cooperation in various fields in the next 25 years.

  • Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated Shaheed Ashfaq Ulla Khan Zoological Park in Gorakhpur yesterday. This is the first zoo in Purvanchal and the third in the state.

  • The first phase of Assam and West Bengal Assembly Elections was conducted successfully across 21825 Polling Stations spread over 77 Assembly Constituencies.
  • The first phase of elections were conducted for 30 Assembly Constituencies in West Bengal. Nearly 74 lakh electorates across 10,288 Polling Stations are registered to exercise their franchise in this phase.
  • Voting was held in 47 Assembly Constituencies of Assam with a total of 81lakh electorates registered across 11,537 Polling Stations.
