1. India’s Vaccination Drive crosses the landmark of 7.5 Crore doses administered across the country
  • India has made a landmark achievement of administering nearly 7 crore 50 lakh COVID-19 Vaccine doses.
  • The cumulative number of COVID19 vaccine doses administered in the country stands at 7,59,79,651 today (through 11,99,125sessions) as per the provisional report till 7 am.
  • These include 89,82,974 Health Care Workers (1st dose), 53,19,641 HCWs (2nd dose), 96,86,477 Front Line Workers (1st dose) and 40,97,510 FLWs (2nd Dose) and4,70,70,019 (1st Dose) and 8,23,030 (2nd dose) beneficiaries aged more than 45 years.


2. MoRTH Achieves Record-breaking Milestone of Constructing 37 kilometres per day of Highways in FY 2020-21
  • The Ministry has achieved the record-breaking milestone of constructing 37 kilometres highways per day in year 2020-21, which is unprecedented. 
  • Minister for Road Transport & Highways and MSME, Nitin Gadkari last evening felicitated the officials of M/o RTH and presented the letters of appreciation.


3. India's biggest floating solar power plant to be set up at Ramagundam in Telangana
  • India's biggest floating solar power plant with a capacity of 100 MW will be set up at Ramagundam in Telangana.
  • The project expected to be opened in May, is being set up at Ramagundam thermal power plant reservoir.


4. Five-day Tulip Festival held in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir
  • Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha inaugurated a Tulip Festival 2021 at the majestic Tulip Garden, located at the foot of the Zabarwan hills in Srinagar.
  • 15 lakh flowers of more than 64 varieties are in full bloom on the foothills of Zabarwan Mountain in Srinagar. People will get an opportunity to witness the blooming flowers during a five-day Tulip Festival.

  • India's first union environment minister and MLA from Gujarat's Wankaner Digvijaysinh Zala passed away at the age of 88.

  • In Gorakhpur UP, Radheshyam Khemka, president of Gita Press, and editor of Kalyan, the famous magazine of Sanatan Dharma, has passed away. He was 87.
  • The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has expressed grief over the passing away of Geeta Press President, Radheshyam Khemka Ji.


7. World Bank says India’s GDP to grow from 7.5 to 12.5 per cent during current financial year
  • The World Bank has raised Indian GDP growth prediction for 2021-22 fiscal to 10.1 percent from 5.4 percent projected in January.
  • According to the World Bank, given the significant uncertainty amid Covid-19 effects on the economy, the real India GDP growth could be in the range from 7.5 percent to 12.5 percent.


8. Odisha imposes night curfew in 10 districts from tomorrow due to Covid-19
  • The Odisha government has imposed a night curfew in 10 districts between 10 pm to 5 am from tomorrow in view of rising COVID-19 cases.
  • The districts where night curfew will be imposed are Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Bolangir, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Nawrangpur, Koraput and Malkangiri.
