The 6th edition of Exercise SCO 2021 PEACEFUL MISSION is being hosted by Russia in the Orenburg Region of South West Russia from 13 to 25 September 2021.
Joint Counter Terrorism Exercise PEACEFUL MISSION is a Multilateral Exercise, which is conducted biennially as part of military diplomacy between Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) member states.
6th edition of Exercise SCO PEACEFUL MISSION 2021: Aims
The aim of the exercise is to foster close relations between SCO member states and to enhance abilities of the military leaders to command multi-national military contingents.

8th edition of Indian Army Chiefs’ Conclave to be held in New Delhi from 16 to 18 September 2021
The 8th edition of Indian Army Chief’s Conclave, a gathering of serving and former Chiefs of Army Staff of the Indian Army, will be held in New Delhi from 16 to 18 September 2021. The highlight of the three day event will be the invite extended to former Chiefs of the Nepali Army, who were also Honorary Chiefs of the Indian Army.
The Conclave is a forum for exchange of ideas between the old guard and the current leadership of the Indian Army. It will involve discussions on the rapid transformation of the Indian Army, self-reliance through Atmanirbhar and Make in India initiatives in defence manufacturing and skilling of the Indian soldiers to fight modern wars.

On September 17, 2021, the President Kovind will grace and address the special session of Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly being organised on the occasion of Golden Jubilee of Statehood of Himachal Pradesh.
On September 18, 2021, the President Kovind will grace the valedictory ceremony of the Indian Audit and Accounts Service Officer Trainees of 2018 and 2019 batches at the National Academy of Audit and Accounts, Shimla.
PM Modi to inaugurate Defense Office Complexes and Africa Avenue today
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Defence Offices Complexes at Kasturba Gandhi Marg and Africa Avenue on 16 September 2021 at 11 AM. PM Modi will visit the Defence Office Complex at Africa Avenue and interact with Army, Navy, Air Force and Civilian Officers.
The new Defence Offices Complexes will accommodate around 7,000 officials from the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces, including Army, Navy and Air Force. The buildings will provide modern, secure and functional working spaces. An Integrated Command and Control Centre has been established for managing building operations, while also catering to the end to end safety and surveillance of both the buildings.

India’s COVID-19 Vaccination Coverage exceeds 76.57 Cr: Recovery Rate currently at 97.64%
With the administration of 64,51,423 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, country’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage surpassed the cumulative figure of 76.57 Cr (76,57,17,137) as per provisional reports till 7 am today.
Consequently, India’s recovery rate stands at 97.64% 30,570 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours.
The Weekly Positivity Rate at 1.93% remains less than 3% for the last 83 days now. The Daily Positivity rate reported to be 1.94%. The daily Positivity rate has remained below 3% for last 17 days and below 5% for 100 consecutive days now.
