1st India-Australia Joint Working Group (JWG) on “Coal and Mines” held Virtual Format     

The first Joint Working Group (JWG) meeting on “Coal and Mines” between India and Australia was held through Video conferencing.

President Ram Nath Kovind appoints 10 new judges in Karnataka High Court 

President Ram Nath Kovind appoints 10 new judges in Karnataka High Court. They are Additional Judges of the Karnataka High Court 1) Maralur Indrakumar Arun, 2) Engalaguppe Seetharamaiah Indiresh, 3) Ravi Venkappa Hosmani, 4) Savanur Vishwajith Shetty, S) Shivashankar Amarannavar, 6) Smt. Justice Makkimane Ganeshaiah Uma, 7) Vedavyasachar Srishananda, 8) Hanchate Sanjeevkumar, 9) Padmaraj Nemachandra Desai, and 10) Panjigadde Krishna Bhat, Additional Judges of the Karnataka High Court to be the Judges of the Karnataka High Court with effect from the date they assume charge of their respective offices.

In exercise of the power conferred by clause (2) of Article 124 of the Constitution of India, the President Ram Nath Kovind has appointed all the ten Justices.

Indian Army to organise “BIJOYA SANSKRITIK MAHOTSAV” at Kolkata from 26 To 29 September 2021 

16 December 2021 will mark 50 years of the liberation of Bangladesh and India's victory over Pakistan in the 1971 Indo-Pak War. To commemorate this landmark event in India's history, Swarnim Vijay Varsh celebrations are being organised throughout the Country. A cultural event titled “Bijoya Sanskritik Mahotsav” aimed at showcasing the cultural linkages between India and Bangladesh during the war is being organised by the Eastern Command of Indian Army at Kolkata from 26 to 29 September 2021.

Various cultural programs to include film screening, theatre plays, musical concerts and band performances are planned over five days at Rabindra Sadan and Nandan Convention Centre, Kolkata. Events of “Bijoya Sanskritik Mahotsav” will bring to fore the various tales of valor of Indian Army soldiers and Mukti Jodhas in the various historical battles fought by these brave hearts in the 1971 war of liberation.

President Ram Nath Kovind appoints 2 new judges in Kerala High Court. They are Additional Judges of the Kerala High Court, Justice Ms. Mudalikulam Raman Anitha and Justice Karunakaran Nair Haripal, Additional Judges of the Kerala High Court to be Judges of the Kerala High Court, with effect from the date they assume charge of their respective offices.

In exercise of the power conferred by clause (2) of Article 124 of the Constitution of India, the President Ram Nath Kovind has appointed all the 2 Justices.


PM Narendra Modi meets CEOs of five global companies of America 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi met CEOs of five global US companies in Washington DC on 23 September. The heads of Qualcomm, Adobe, First Solar, General Atomics and Blackstone will participate in the meeting.

PM Modi has embarked on a three-day visit from September 22-25 to the United States on Wednesday where he will address the UN General Assembly and attend the Quad Summit as well as hold a bilateral meeting with US President Joe Biden at the White House.


India’s COVID-19 Vaccination Coverage crosses the landmark of 83 Cr; Recovery Rate currently at 97.77%

With the administration of 71,38,205 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage crossed the landmark of 83Cr (83,39,90,049) as per provisional reports till 7 am today.

Consequently, India’s recovery rate stands at 97.77%. Recovery Rate is currently at its highest peak since March 2020. 31,923 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours.

The Weekly Positivity Rate at 2.11% remains less than 3% for the last 90 days now. The Daily Positivity rate reported to be2.09%. The daily Positivity rate has remained below3% for the last 24 days and below 5% for 107 consecutive days now.
