FM Nirmala Sitharaman attends 11th UK-India Economic and Financial Dialogue   

The 11th India-United Kingdom Economic and Financial Dialogue (EFD) was held, virtually chaired by Indian Union Minister for Finance & Corporate Affairs Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman and the United Kingdom Treasury Chancellor Mr. Rishi Sunak.

Indian Delegation in 11th India-United Kingdom Economic and Financial Dialogue (EFD) 

The Indian delegation included Governor RBI, Chairman SEBI, Chairman IFSCA, Secretary Economic Affairs and other representatives from the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of External Affairs and Indian High Commission, UK.

UK Delegation in 11th India-United Kingdom Economic and Financial Dialogue (EFD)  

The UK delegation included Governor Bank of England, CEO Financial Conduct Authority, Economic Secretary and other representatives from UK HMT.


5th edition of Indo – Kazakhstan joint military exercise KAZIND-21 held in Training Node Aisha Bibi, Kazakhstan 

The India – Kazakhstan joint military exercise “KAZIND-21” commenced at Training Node Aisha Bibi, Kazakhstan.

This is the 5th Edition of Annual bilateral joint exercise of both Armies and will continue till 10th September 2021. The fourth edition of the exercise was held at Pithoragarh, India in Sep 2019.

Indo – Kazakhstan joint military exercise “KAZIND-21”: Key Highlights

The contingent comprises 120 troops from Kazakhstan and 90 soldiers from the Indian Army. Both the contingents will share their expertise and skills in the field of counter terror operations. The exercise will culminate in a 48 hours joint validation exercise scheduled on 08 & 09 September 2021. The validation exercise will be a test bed for the soldiers of both Armies as they would be undergoing challenges of actual operations in such scenarios.


New Development Bank (NDB) approves Bangladesh as a new member 

The New Development Bank (NDB) established by the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) countries in 2015 has approved Bangladesh as its new member.

The NDB Board of Governors initiated the negotiation to expand its membership in 2020. It has now approved the United Arab Emirates, Uruguay and Bangladesh as its first new member countries.

HM Amit Shah inaugurated the Gandhi Bhawan, the Police Public School and the GM Institute of Technology’s central library in Davanagere.

Indian Railways’ Chandigarh Railway Station awarded 5-Star ‘Eat Right Station’ 

Indian Railways’ Chandigarh Railway Station has been awarded a 5- star 'Eat Right Station' certification for providing high-quality, nutritious food to passengers. This certification is granted by FSSAI to railway stations adhering to standard food storage and hygiene practices.

The 'Eat Right Station' certification is awarded by FSSAI to railway stations that set benchmarks in providing safe and wholesome food to passengers. The station is awarded a certificate upon a conclusion of an FSSAI-empanelled third-party audit agency with ratings from 1 to 5. The 5-star rating indicates exemplary efforts by stations to ensure safe and hygienic food is available to passengers.

Chandigarh Railway Station becomes the fifth station in India to get this recognition. The other railway stations with this certification include Anand Vihar Terminal Railway Station; (Delhi), Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus; (Mumbai), Mumbai Central Railway Station; (Mumbai) and Vadodara Railway Station.


Ayush Minister Sarbananada Sonowal launches ‘Y-Break’ Yoga protocol App
