Jammu and Kashmir administration signs MoU with Dubai Govt for Industrialization and sustainable growth in UT  

The Jammu and Kashmir administration signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Dubai Government in Srinagar to scale new heights in Industrialization and sustainable growth in Jammu and Kashmir union territory.

The MoU covers many fields and areas including real estate development, industrial parks, IT towers, multipurpose towers, logistics, medical college and super specialty hospital.

India, Israel agree on mutual recognition of COVID-19 vaccination certificates  

External Affairs Minister (EAM) S Jaishankar and Israel's Foreign Minister Yair Lapid agreed on mutual recognition of the COVID-19 vaccination certificates.

This has been announced when Jaishankar is on an Israel tour. Along with this, Israel has also joined the International Solar Organization, on which the External Affairs Minister (EAM) S Jaishankar also thanked Israel.


India to take part in the Moscow Format Meeting on Afghanistan to be held on 20 October 2021  

India has confirmed its participation in the Moscow Format Meeting on Afghanistan. The meeting, which is being hosted by Russia, is scheduled to be held in Moscow on 20th October 2021.

The Ministry of External Affairs has informed that India has received an invitation and will participate in the Joint Secretary level meeting.

This will be the second time that India will be meeting the Taliban face-to-face since it set up an interim government last month. India's Ambassador to Qatar had earlier met Taliban representatives in Doha on 31st August. The Taliban has also confirmed its participation in the meeting. According to the Afghan Foreign Ministry, the delegation will be headed by Abdul Salam Hanafi, Deputy Prime Minister of the interim Afghan government.


Govt imposes stock limits on edible oils to soften prices in domestic market   

Government has imposed stock limits on edible oils to soften the prices of edible oils in the domestic market. According to the Consumer Affairs Ministry, the Department of Food and Public Distribution has imposed stock limits on edible oils and oilseeds for a period upto 31st March next year.


Uttarakhand achieves 100% coverage of first dose of COVID-19 vaccine to its entire eligible population  

Uttarakhand has administered the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine to its entire eligible population three months ahead of target. A total of 74 lakh people in the state have been administered the first dose of the vaccine. 34.68 lakh people have been given a second dose.


Punjab CM Charanjit Channi launches 'Mera Ghar Mere Naam' scheme to confer proprietary rights   

Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Channi launched the 'Mera Ghar Mere Naam' scheme to give ownership rights to people living in houses within the 'Lal Lakir' of villages and the cities.

Under the 'Mera Ghar Mere Naam' scheme, a drone survey of residential properties in both rural and urban areas will be conducted for digital mapping, and subsequently, to provide ownership rights to all eligible residents in a time bound manner after proper identification or verification. Property cards will be given.


India’s COVID-19 Vaccination Coverage exceeds 97.79 Cr; Recovery Rate currently at 98.12%

With the administration of 12,05,162vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 97.79 Cr (97,79,47,783) as per provisional reports till 7 am today.

Consequently, India’s recovery rate stands at 98.12%. Recovery Rate is currently at its highest peak since March 2020. 13,596 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours. Daily New cases reported to be lowest in 230 days now.

The Weekly Positivity Rate at 1.37% remains less than 3% for the last 115 days now. The Daily Positivity rate reported to be 1.37%. The daily Positivity rate has remained below 3% for the last 49 days and below 5% for 132 consecutive days now.
