PM Modi inaugurates redeveloped Rani Kamalapati Railway Station in Bhopal, MP     

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will inaugurate the redeveloped Rani Kamalapati Railway Station during his visit to Madhya Pradesh on 15 November 2021.

The redeveloped Rani Kamalapati Railway station, named after brave and fearless Queen Kamalapati of the Gond kingdom, is the first world class railway station in Madhya Pradesh. Redeveloped in Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode, the station has been designed as a green building with modern world class amenities that also takes into account ease of mobility for divyangjans. The station is also developed as a hub for integrated multi-modal transport.


Indian Army Chief General MM Naravane to be visiting Israel from 15 to 19 Nov 2021  

General MM Naravane, the Chief of the Indian Army Staff will be visiting Israel from 15 to 19 November 2021. This is his first visit to Israel. The visit aims to further strengthen strategic defence cooperation between both countries.

Key Highlights

During the visit, Indian Army Chief General MM Naravane will be meeting Israel's senior military and civilian leadership where he will discuss avenues for further enhancing Indo-Israel defence relations.

The Indian Army Chief General MM Naravane will take forward the excellent bilateral defence cooperation between Israel and India through multiple meetings with senior officials of the security establishment and exchange views on various defence related issues.


Petroleum Minister Hardeep S. Puri visit to UAE from 15 – 17 November 2021  

Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep S. Puri will be on an official visit to UAE from 15 – 17 November 2021.

Hardeep S. Puri will lead an official and business delegation to UAE from 15 – 17 November 2021, to attend the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition & Conference (ADIPEC) on the invitation of H. E. Suhail Mohamed Faraj Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure of UAE.

During the visit, the Minister will participate in the inaugural Ceremony of ADIPEC and also take part in a Ministerial Round Table titled “Charting the Climate Action Path from COP 26 to COP 27”. Puri will inaugurate the India Pavilion, set up jointly by Federation of Indian Petroleum Industry (FIPI), Directorate General of Hydrocarbons (DGH), and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).


India, Bangladesh army to hold joint bicycle rally to celebrate golden jubilee of Bangladesh Liberation  

India and Bangladesh army to hold joint bicycle rally to celebrate golden jubilee of Bangladesh Liberation between November 15-24 covering Jessore to Kolkata.

The rally has been organized to mark the Golden Jubilee Year of Bangladesh Liberation to strengthen the friendly ties between the two countries.

The Indian army cycling team is led by Col. Mohit Singh of Kolkata cantonment. The 30 member strong joint cycling team of Indian army and Bangladesh army will visit Jessore cantonment, Jhenaidah, Kushtia and Jibanagar before returning to India on 19th November.
 
The joint cycling team will proceed on its India leg of the rally on 19th November from the Darshana land port before culminating at Kolkata on Nov. 24.


India-Bangladesh to set up Five Integrated Check Posts (ICPs) on border   

Five new Integrated Check Posts (ICPs) will be set up on the India-Bangladesh border in West Bengal to ensure better connectivity and security. These include 5 ICPs on the Indo-Bangladesh border and one ICP each on borders with Nepal and Bhutan.

The five ICPs on the Indo-Bangladesh borders will be set up at Changrabandha in Cooch Behar, Phulbari in Jalpaiguri, Hilli in South Dinajpur, Mahadipur in Malda and Gojadanga in North 24-Parganas. One ICP will be set up at Panitanki in Darjeeling district bordering Nepal and another at Jaigaon in Alipurduar bordering Bhutan.


33rd edition of “Hunar Haat” held in New Delhi  

Union Minister for Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi inaugurated 33rd edition of “Hunar Haat” held in New Delhi.

This is the 33rd “Hunar Haat” in the series of on-going “Hunar Haats” across the country. More than 550 artisans and craftsmen from more than 30 States/UTs are participating in the “Hunar Haat”, being organized at Hall No 3, Pragati Maidan from 14th to 27th November 2021. With 300 stalls, this is the largest participation by the Union Ministry of Minority Affairs in India International Trade Fair this year. Canara Bank has set up a stall in the “Hunar Haat” to provide easy loans to artisans and craftsmen for employment and self-employment.

Handmade products from Assam, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Gujarat, Ladakh, Jammu-Kashmir, Punjab, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Delhi, Maharashtra, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, Manipur, Goa, Puducherry, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, Chandigarh, Haryana etc are available for sale and display.

Earlier, “Hunar Haats” have been organized at various places in the country including Delhi, Mumbai, Prayagraj, Lucknow, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Puducherry, Bhopal, Indore, Ranchi, Mysuru, Panaji, Dehradun, Vrindavan and Rampur.

Upcoming Hunar Haat

The next "Hunar Haats" will be organised at Hyderabad (26 November to 5 December), Surat (10 to 19 December), JLN Stadium, New Delhi (22 December 2021 to 2 January 2022). “Hunar Haats” will also be organised in Mysuru, Guwahati, Pune, Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Patna, Puducherry, Mumbai, Jammu, Chennai, Chandigarh, Agra, Prayagraj, Goa, Jaipur, Bengaluru, Kota, Sikkim, Srinagar, Leh, Shillong, Ranchi, Agartala and other places in the coming days.


ICC T-20 World Cup 2021: Australia beat New Zealand by 8 wickets to win ICC T20 World Cup trophy for the first time   

Australia lifted their maiden T20 World Cup title as they defeated New Zealand in the final by 8 wickets at Dubai International stadium. Chasing a target of 173 runs, Australia won the match with 7 balls to spare. They made scored 173 runs for the loss of 2 wickets.

Batting first, New Zealand scored 172 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. David Warner was declared Player of the series while Mitchell Marsh was declared Player of the Match


India’s COVID-19 Vaccination Coverage exceeds 112.34 Cr; Recovery Rate currently at 98.26%

With the administration of 30,20,119 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 112.34 Cr (1,12,34,30,478) as per provisional reports till 7 am today.

The recovery of 11,926 patients in the last 24 hours has increased the cumulative tally of recovered patients (since the beginning of the pandemic) to 3,38,49,785.

Consequently, India’s recovery rate stands at 98.26%. 10,229 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours.

The Active Caseload is presently at 1,34,096 is lowest in 523 days. Active cases presently constitute 0.39% of the country's total Positive Cases, which is lowest since March 2020.

The Weekly Positivity Rate at 0.99% remains less than 2% for the last 52 days now. The Daily Positivity rate reported to be 1.12%. The daily Positivity rate has remained below 2% for the last 42 days and below 3% for 77 consecutive days now.
