PM Narendra Modi to deliver keynote address at The Sydney Dialogue       

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will deliver the keynote address at The Sydney Dialogue on 18th November, 2021. PM Modi will speak on the theme of India’s technology evolution and revolution, with the address being preceded by introductory remarks by the Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison.

About as The Sydney Dialogue

The Sydney Dialogue is being held from 17-19 November, 2021. It is an initiative of the Australian Strategic Policy Institute. It will bring together political, business and government leaders to debate, generate new ideas, and work towards common understandings of the opportunities and challenges posed by emerging and critical technologies. The event will also witness keynote address by Australian Prime Minister Mr. Scott Morrison and Former Prime Minister of Japan Mr. Shinzo Abe.


PM Modi launch several development projects worth over Rs 6250 crore in Uttar Pradesh  

Uttar Pradesh Elections 2022: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Mahoba and Jhansi districts of Uttar Pradesh on 19th November 2021. Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate multiple projects in Mahoba. These projects will help alleviate the issue of water shortage in the region.

These projects include Arjun Sahayak Project, Ratauli Weir Project, Bhaoni Dam Project and Majhgaon–Chilli Sprinkler Project. The cumulative cost of these projects is more than Rs. 3250 Crore.

Prime Minister Modi also participated in a programme during which he will lay the foundation stone of 600 MW Ultramega Solar Power Park at Garautha in Jhansi. It is being constructed at a cost of over Rs 3000 crore, and will help provide the dual benefits of cheaper electricity and grid stability.


President Ram Nath Kovind visits Adarsh Village Sui in Bhiwani, Haryana  

The President of India Ram Nath Kovind visited Sui village in Bhiwani district of Haryana  and inaugurated various public facilities there. This village is being developed as ‘Adarsh Gram’ by Mahadevi Parameshwaridas Jindal Charitable Trust under Haryana Government’s scheme Swa-Prerit Adarsh Gram Yojana (SPAGY).


Cabinet approves USOF scheme for provision of mobile services in Uncovered Villages in Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Maharashtra & Odisha  

The Union Cabinet, chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has given its approval for provisioning of mobile services in Uncovered Villages of Aspirational Districts across five States of Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Maharashtra & Odisha.

The Project envisages to provide 4G based mobile services in the 7,287 uncovered villages of 44 Aspirational Districts across five States of Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Maharashtra & Odisha at an estimated cost of implementation about Rs 6,466 crore including operational expenses for 5 years. The project would be funded by Universal Service Obligation Fund (USOF). The project will be completed within 18 months after the signing of the Agreement and likely to be completed by November 23.


Cabinet approves continuation of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY)-I, PMGSY-II  

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave its approval to the proposals of Department of Rural Development, Ministry of Rural Development for continuation of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana-I and II upto September, 2022 for completion of balance road and bridge works. The CCEA also approved continuation of Road Connectivity Project for Left Wing Extremism Affected Areas (RCPLWEA) upto March, 2023.

Government of India started PMGSY-I to provide connectivity to unconnected habitations of population size 500+ in plain areas and 250+ in North-East and Himalayan states. In selected left wing extremism blocks, habitations of 100+ population were also to be provided connectivity. Only 2,432 habitations are balance out of total 1,84,444 habitations. 20,950 Km road length and 1,974 bridges are balance for completion out of total sanctioned 6,45,627 Km road length and 7,523 bridges. Thus, these works will now get completed.

Under PMGSY-II, upgradation of 50,000 Km rural road network was envisaged. Total 49,885 Km road length and 765 LSBs have been sanctioned, of which only 4,240 Km road length and 254 bridges are balance. Thus, these works will now get completed.


India’s COVID-19 Vaccination Coverage exceeds 114.46 Cr; Recovery Rate currently at 98.28%

With the administration of 73,44,739vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded114.46 Cr (1,14,46,32,851) as per provisional reports till 7 am today.

The recovery of11,242 patients in the last 24 hours has increased the cumulative tally of recovered patients (since the beginning of the pandemic) to 3,38,85,132.

Consequently, India’s recovery rate stands at 98.28%. 11,919 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours

The Active Caseload presently stands at1,28,762. Active cases presently constitute 0.37% of the country's total Positive Cases, which is lowest since March 2020.

The Weekly Positivity Rate at 0.94% remains less than 2% for the last 55 days now. The Daily Positivity rate reported to be 0.97%. The daily Positivity rate has remained below 2% for the last 45 days and below 3% for 80 consecutive days now.
