Ministry of Jal Shakti announces 3rd National Water Awards 2022  

Union Minister of Jal Shakti Gajendra Singh Shekhawat announced 3rd National Water Awards-2020 in New Delhi. In the Best State category, Uttar Pradesh has been awarded first prize, followed by Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu.

The first National Water Award was launched by the Jal Shakti Ministry in 2018. National Water Awards have provided a good opportunity to start-ups as well as leading organizations to engage and deliberate with senior policymakers on how to adopt the best water resources management practises in India.


DPIIT to organize Startup India Innovation Week-2022 

The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry is set to organize the Startup India Innovation Week from January 10th to 16th 2022. 

This week-long virtual innovation celebration aims to commemorate the 75th year of India’s independence ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ and is designed to showcase the spread and depth of entrepreneurship across India.

Startup India Innovation Week will have sessions ranging from topics such as Enhancing Market Access Opportunities, Discussions with Industry leaders, Best Practises by States, Capacity Building of Enablers, Reverse Pitching by Incubators, Technology Exhibitions, Corporate Connects and more.


Ministry of External Affairs signs agreement with TCS for Passport Seva Programme V2.0  

The Ministry of External Affairs signed an agreement with TATA Consultancy Services for the second phase of the Passport Seva Programme (PSP-V2.0). Level Up Citizen Experience with Passport Seva Programme V2.0. E-Passports for Enhanced Customer Experience Soon.

This step has been taken with an aim to enhance the customer service and give a major technological upgradation for delivery of passport related services to the citizens.


Nitin Gadkari lays Foundation Stone for 336 kms of 10 National Highway Projects in Uttar Pradesh  

Uttar Pradesh Assembly Elections 2022: Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari virtually laid Foundation Stone of 10 National Highway Projects for 336 kms worth Rs 14169 Crore in Mathura in Uttar Pradesh.

With the development of Mathura-Hathras-Budaun-Bareilly Highway connectivity and traffic issues will be resolved at pilgrimage and tourist places .With the construction of a bypass connecting Agra Inner Ring Road and Yamuna Expressway, the city of Agra will get rid of traffic jams. The construction of Agra - Jalesar - Etah road will facilitate the traders of the brass industry.

Gadkari also announced the development of 84 Kosi Parikrama Marg of Braj.


India’s COVID-19 Vaccination Coverage exceeds 150.61 Cr; Recovery Rate currently at 97.30%

With the administration of more than 90 lakh Doses (90,59,360) vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 150.61 Cr (150,61,92,903) as per provisional reports till 7 am today.

40,895 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours and the cumulative tally of recovered patients (since the beginning of the pandemic) is now at 3,44,12,740.

Consequently, India’s recovery rate stands at 97.30%. 1,41,986 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours.

India’s Active Caseload is presently at 4,72,169. Active cases constitute 1.34% of the country's total Positive Cases. The Weekly Positivity Rate in the country currently stands at 5.66% and the Daily Positivity rate also reported to be 9.28%.
