Future Infantry Soldier, new generation anti-personnel mine, upgraded sights system for tanks, high mobility Infantry Protected Vehicles and Assault Boats are among the state-of-the-art equipment.
The equipment/systems have been jointly developed by the Indian Army in collaboration with the Defence Research and Development Organisation and the Industry.
SBI hikes MCLR rate for various tenures by 20 bps
Leading public sector State Bank of India (SBI) has increased its marginal cost of funds-based lending rate (MCLR) by 20 basis points (bps) various tenors from August 15.
According to the State Bank of India, overnight, one-month, and three-month MCLR stands at 7.35 per cent; six-month is at 7.65 per cent; one-year at 7.70 per cent; two-year at 7.90 per cent; and three-year MCLR stands at 8 per cent.

With dynamic support from All India Football Federation (AIFF), IFA (West Bengal) and Government of West Bengal, the 131st edition of Durand Cup is all set to become a historic event.
Out of the 20 teams in Durand Cup 2022, 11 teams will be the clubs that play Indian Super League, five teams will be from I-League and four teams from the Armed forces.

FIFA suspends All India Football Federation (AIFF)
FIFA is an international governing body of association football, announced that it has decided to suspend the All India Football Federation (AIFF) with immediate effect and the decision was taken unanimously by the Bureau of the FIFA Council.
According to FIFA, the decision has been taken due to undue influence from third parties, which constitutes a serious violation of the FIFA Statutes.
India’s COVID-19 Vaccination Coverage exceeds 208.31 Cr; Recovery Rate currently stands at 98.56%
India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 208.31 Cr (2,08,31,24,694) as per provisional reports till 7 am today.
COVID-19 vaccination for the age group 12-14 years was started on 16 March, 2022. So far, more than 3.97 Cr (3,97,74,706) adolescents have been administered with the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine. Similarly, the COVID-19 precaution dose administration for age group 18-59 years also started from 10th April, 2022 onwards.
India’s Active Caseload currently stands at 1,11,252. Active cases now constitute 0.25% of the country's total Positive Cases. 15,040 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours.
Consequently, India’s recovery rate stands at 98.56%. 15,040 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours and the cumulative tally of recovered patients (since the beginning of the pandemic) is now at 4,36,38,844.
The Weekly Positivity Rate in the country currently stands at 4.79% and the Daily Positivity rate is reported to be 4.15%.
