Cabinet approves Air Services Agreement between India and Guyana    

The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi approved the signing of the Air Services Agreement between the Government of India and the Government of Co-operative Republic of Guyana. 

India, Guyana Air Agreement: Key Highlights 

The Air Services Agreement will come into force after the exchange of diplomatic notes between the parties confirming that each party has completed the necessary internal procedure for entry into force of this Agreement.

Indians have a sizable presence in Guyana and are the largest ethnic group comprising about 40% of the population as per 2012 census. The signing of the Air Services Agreement with Guyana will enable a framework for provision of air services between the two countries.

The new Air Services Agreement between India and the Co-operative Republic of Guyana will provide an enabling environment for enhanced and seamless connectivity while providing commercial opportunities to the carriers of both the sides......Read More


First G20 Finance Ministers & Central Bank Governors Meetings to be held in Bengaluru from 22nd-25th Feb 

The First G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors (FMCBG) meeting under the G20 Indian Presidency is scheduled during 24th-25th February, 2023, and begins today, in Bengaluru, Karnataka.

The 1st G20 FMCBG meeting under the G20 Indian Presidency on 24th-25th February will see the participation of Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors of the G20 members, invitee members and heads of International Organisations. In total, there will be 72 delegations attending the meeting.

The Indian Presidency has designed the meeting agenda in a manner that can foster a meaningful exchange of ideas among Ministers and Governors on pragmatic and meaningful approaches to address some of the key global economic issues.


First G20 Working Group (CWG) meeting of Culture to begin in Khajuraho 

The first G20 Working Group (CWG) meeting of Culture will begin from tomorrow at Khajuraho, Madhya Pradesh. The Meeting is scheduled to be organised from 22nd to 25th February 2023.

The 18th UIC World Security Congress commenced in Jaipur, India. The 3-day Conference is being jointly organized by the International Union of Railways (UIC), Paris and the Railway Protection Force (RPF).

The theme of Congress is “Railway Security Strategy: Responses and Vision for Future”.
