First Labour 20 meeting in India: Key Highlights

L20 is one of the engagement groups under G20. It comprises leaders and representatives of trade union centers of G20 countries who provide analyses and policy recommendations aimed at addressing labor-related issues.

Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) is the lead national trade union centre for organising the L20 inception meeting under India G20 presidency. Apart from the meeting, the participants of L20 meet would be taken to various excursion sites to showcase the rich cultural heritage of Amritsar.

INS Trikand participate in International Maritime Exercise/Cutlass Express 2023

INS Trikand is participating in the International Maritime Exercise/ Cutlass Express 2023 (IMX/CE-23) being held in the Gulf region from 26 February to 16 March 2023. She will exercise with participants from over 50 nations and international maritime agencies with the common aim of enhancing maritime security and keeping sea lanes in the region safe for maritime commerce.

International Maritime Exercise/ Cutlass Express 2023 (IMX/CE-23) is one of the largest multinational maritime exercises in the world. While this is Indian Navy’s maiden IMX participation, it also marks the second occasion where an Indian Naval ship is participating in an exercise conducted by the CMF. Earlier, in Nov 22, INS Trikand had participated in the CMF led Operation Sea Sword 2.

Madhya Pradesh govt launches Ladli Bahna scheme

The Madhya Pradesh government has launched a unique scheme to make women financially independent.

Women in the age group of 23 to 60 years will be eligible for this scheme. The benefit of this scheme will be given only to women whose annual family income is less than Rs 2.5 lakh or who have less than five acres of land.

Under the scheme, Rs 1000 per month will be deposited in the account of native women in the age group of 23 to 60 years.
