The National Voters’ Day has been celebrated on January 25 every year, across the country. Election Commission of India is celebrating 14th National Voters’ Day (NVD) on 25th January 2024.

Theme of NVD 2024

Dedicated to the voters, the theme of National Voters’ Day (NVD) 2024 – ‘Nothing Like Voting, I Vote For Sure’ is a continuation of last year's theme.

Objective of National Voters’ Day 

The main objective of National Voters’ Day celebration is to create electoral awareness amongst citizens and encourage them to participate in the electoral process.

Dedicated to the voters of the country, National Voters' Day is also aimed to facilitate the enrollment of voters, especially newly eligible young voters. New voters are felicitated and handed over their Electoral Photo Identity Card (EPIC) at NVD functions held across the country on National Voters' Day.

History of National Voters’ Day

If we know about the history of National Voters' Day, since 2011, NVD is celebrated every year on 25 January across the country to mark the foundation day of the Election Commission of India, i.e. 25 January 1950.

On January 25, 2024, the Election Commission of India celebrated its 75th year of service to the Nation.
