Indian Navy - France Navy Bilateral Exercise VARUNA 2024
Indian Navy’s frontline stealth frigate, INS Tabar and LRMR P8I Aircraft participated in the 22nd edition of Indian Navy (IN) - France Navy (FN) Bilateral Exercise VARUNA in the Mediterranean Sea from 2nd to 4th September 2024.

Prior to participating in Exercise Varuna, INS Tabar under the command of Captain MR Harish recently visited Toulon, France from 29 Aug 24 to 01 September 2024.
In Exercise Varuna 2024, apart from INS Tabar, the Indian Navy was represented by ship borne helicopter; LRMR aircraft P8I while the French side was represented by FS Provence, submarine Suffren, aircraft F20, Atlantique 2, fighter aircraft MB339 and helicopter NH90; Dauphin.

India - France Exercise VARUNA: Tactical Manoeuvres
A series of advanced naval operations were conducted during the present edition of India - France Bilateral Naval Exercise VARUNA, involving enhanced tactical maneuvers, advanced anti-submarine warfare exercises, FLYEX, Air Defence Exercise, live weapon firings, PHOTO-EX and Steam Past, seamlessly integrating assets of both the navies in all three domains viz air, surface and subsurface.
