Indian Navy will be hosting the fifth edition of Goa Maritime Symposium (GMS -24) at Naval War College, Goa from 23 - 24 September 2024. GMS Symposium will see participation of 14 Indian Ocean littoral countries.

The Goa Maritime Symposium (GMS) is a forum for fostering collaborative thinking, cooperation and mutual understanding between India and key maritime nations of the Indian Ocean Region (IOR).

Theme Of Goa Maritime Symposium 2024
The theme of the Goa Maritime Symposium 2024 is "Common Maritime Security Challenges in the Indian Ocean Region - Progressing Lines of Efforts to Mitigate Dynamic Threats such as Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated Fishing and other Illegal Maritime Activities".

Goa Maritime Symposium (GMS-24): Discussion
During the Goa Maritime Symposium (GMS-24), naval representatives from 12 littoral countries of the Indian Ocean will discuss collaborative efforts towards enhancing maritime security in the region.
GMS-2024 Symposium: Participates By
The GMS-2024 symposium will see participation of Naval representatives from 12 Indian Ocean Littoral countries - Bangladesh, Comoros, Indonesia, Madagascar, Malaysia, Maldives, Mauritius, Myanmar, Seychelles, Singapore, Sri Lanka and Thailand. Observers from Kenya and Tanzania will also attend the event.
