Government revises FY18 GDP growth to 7.2% from 6.7% earlier

Government revises FY18 GDP growth to 7.2% from 6.7% earlier

The Central Statistical Office (CSO), Ministry of Statistics and Programme implementation has revised the GDP (Gross Domestic Product) Growth forecast to 7.2% from earlier estimate of 6.7%.

For the current fiscal, in May, the CSO in its advance estimate had projected a growth rate of 7.2 per cent.

The actual growth rate for 2016-17 has also been revised to 8.2% from the earlier estimate of 7.1% by the CSO.
