1. ADB, India sign $451 Million Loan to strengthen Power Connectivity in Tamil Nadu
  • The Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Government of India today signed a $451 million loan to strengthen power connectivity between the southern and northern parts of the Chennai–Kanyakumari Industrial Corridor (CKIC), which is part of the East Coast Economic Corridor (ECEC), in Tamil Nadu. ADB is the lead partner of the Government of India for developing ECEC.


2. Industrial Relations Code Bill, 2019 Introduced in Lok Sabha
  • The Minister of State (I/C) for Labour and Employment Shri Santosh Kumar Gangwar introduced The Industrial Relations Code Bill, 2019 in the Lok Sabha.
  • The Bill aims to consolidate and amend the laws relating to trade unions, conditions of employment in industrial establishment or undertaking, investigation and settlement of industrial disputes.


3. Jitendra Singh to inaugurate two-day Conference on Jal Shakti and Disaster Management
  • The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) in collaboration with Governments of Tamil Nadu and the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir is organizing a two-day Conference on ‘Ek Bharat Shreshta Bharat’ with focus on Jal Shakti and Disaster Management on November 30-December 1, 2019 at Jammu.
  • The Conference will be attended by 350 delegates from State Government – District Collectors/ District SP’s/ SDRF/ Additional District Collectors/ Civil Society/ Engineering Departments/ Food & Civil Supplies Department/ Communication/ Flood affected Families.


4. Project of Rs 25.58 crores approved for Development of Loktak Inland Waterways Project in Manipur
  • The Ministry of Shipping approval for the development of Loktak Inland Waterways improvement project in Manipur under the central sector scheme. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 25.58 crores. The Loktak Lake is the largest freshwater lake in North east located at Moirang in Manipur.


5. Fifth NITI Aayog–DRC Dialogue Held in Wuhan
  • The Fifth Dialogue of NITI Aayog and Development Research Centre (DRC) of the State Council of China, was held in Wuhan, China.
  • The Chinese delegation was led by Ma Jiantang, Party Secretary of DRC, and the Indian by Dr Rajiv Kumar, Vice Chairman of NITI Aayog.
