India-France Business Summit to be held on 11th April 2023

The India and France Business Summit, commemorating 25 years of India-France Friendship will be held on 11th of April 2023.

Key Highlights

Union Minister of Commerce & Industry Piyush Goyal along with Mr Olivier Becht, Minister delegate of Foreign Trade, Attractiveness and French Nationals Abroad, Government of France, will co-chair the India France Business Summit, commemorating 25 years of India-France Friendship on the 11th of April 2023.

The Summit will focus on themes including building a green future, emerging technologies, defence cooperation and cooperation in the Indo-Pacific regions. The Minister is also scheduled to meet with French business leaders across various sectors and will attend a CEOs roundtable. The Minister will be paying an official visit to France and Italy from 11th to 13th April 2023. The Minister would be accompanied with a delegation of top Indian CEOs.

EAM S Jaishankar to embark on visit to Uganda and Mozambique

External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar will be on official visits to Uganda and Mozambique from 10th to 15th April 2023.

Key Highlights

In Uganda, External Affairs Minister Jaishankar will also inaugurate the transit campus of the National Forensic Science University (NFSU) in Jinja. A bilateral MoU between the Government of India and the Government of Uganda, on setting up the first-ever campus of NFSU outside India, is likely to be signed during the visit.

EAM Jaishankar will visit Mozambique from 13 to 15 April. This will be the first-ever visit by an External Affairs Minister of India to Mozambique.

PM Modi inaugurates program ‘Commemoration of 50 years of Project Tiger’ in Mysuru

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the program ‘Commemoration of 50 years of Project Tiger’ at Mysuru University in Mysuru, Karnataka. The Prime Minister also launched the International Big Cats Alliance (IBCA).

PM Modi released the publications - ‘Amrit Kaal Ka Vision For Tiger Conservation’, a summary report of the 5th cycle of Management Effectiveness Evaluation of Tiger Reserves, declared tiger numbers and released the summary report of All India Tiger Estimation (5th cycle). He also released a commemorative coin on the completion of 50 years of Project Tiger.

PM Modi to inaugurate and lay foundation stones of various projects in Assam on 14 April

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Assam on 14th April 2023 to inaugurate and lay foundation stones of various development projects in the State. PM Modi will also attend the mega Bihu celebration in Guwahati where over 11,000 dancers will participate.

As per the Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma PM Modi will inaugurate the All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) Guwahati and will also virtually inaugurate the medical colleges of Nalbari, Kokrajhar and Nagaon districts.
