BS Yediyurappa appointed CM of Karnataka for the 4th term

Karnataka BJP president BS Yediyurappa appointed Chief Minister of Karnataka for the 4th term. Yediyurappa was sworn as Chief Minister for a fourth time by Governor Vajubhai Vala.

After the JDS-Congress coalition government collapsing in Karnataka, senior BJP leader BS Yediyurappa once again became the Chief Minister of the state.

In the last assembly elections held last year, BJP had won 104 out of 222 seats. After this, Yeddyurappa took oath as CM.

After this, Yeddyurappa resigned just before Floor Test on May 19, 2018.

BJP Karnataka chief B.S. Yeddyurappa has reverted to the earlier English spelling of his name “Yediyurappa”.

The change became public on July 26 in his letter to Governor Vajubhai Vala.
