1. ISRO Chandrayaan 2 launch Live: Chandrayaan 2 to be launched from Sriharikota at 2:43 pm
  • India's second moon mission Chandrayaan-2 will be launched today by using the heavy-lift launch vehicle GSLV-Mark-Three.
  • This powerful rocket, popularly known as 'Bahubali', is working in a normal way. From this, Chandrayaan-2 will be launched from Satish Dhawan Space Center of Sriharikota on July 22 at 2:43 pm.
  • Chandrayaan-2 was planned to be launched on the 15th of this month. However, a technical snag was detected less than an hour before its scheduled lift-off, forcing the mission to be halted.

2. 11th DefExpo to be organised from 5th to 8th February 2020 in Lucknow
  • The 11th biennial edition of DefExpo India- 2020 is scheduled to be held for the first time in Uttar Pradesh capital Lucknow. It offers an excellent opportunity for the Indian defence industry to showcase its capabilities and promote its export potential.
  • The Main theme of the DefExpo India- 2020 will be ‘India: The Emerging Defence Manufacturing Hub’ and focus will be on ‘Digital Transformation of Defence’.

3. Asian Development Bank Predicts India's inflation, to be 4.10 percent in 2019-20
  • According to the Asian Development Outlook (ADO) 2019, released by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) has lowered the inflation forecast for India during the current financial year to 4.1 per cent, on the back of gains in rupee and cut in the country's GDP projection.
  • ADB said with Asian Development Outlook 2019 that India will be the main factor in reducing inflation in the South Asian region. ADB has reduced the inflation estimate for South Asia from 4.70 percent to 4.50 percent.

4. Mukesh Ambani Keeps Salary Capped At Rs 15 Crore For 11th Year In A Row
  • Mukesh Ambani has kept his annual salary from his flagship firm Reliance Industries Ltd. capped at Rs 15 crore for the eleventh year on the trot.
  • Ambani has kept salary, perquisites, allowances and commission together at Rs 15 crore since 2008-09, forgoing over Rs 24 crore per annum.

5. BHEL bags Rs 486 crore order from NPCIL for Kudankulam project
  • State-owned BHEL said it has secured an order worth Rs 486 crore from Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd (NPCIL) to erect the reactor side equipment in unit 3 and 4 of Kudankulam projects.
  • BHEL has secured an order for erection work of reactor side equipment of 2x1000 MWe (Units 3&4) Kudankulam Nuclear Power Project in Tamil Nadu, being set up under foreign cooperation (Russia).

6. HDFC Bank Reports Profit Of Rs. 5,568 Crore In June Quarter
  • HDFC Bank, the largest private lender in the country, registered a 21 per cent net profit rise for the June quarter.
  • Net profit rose to Rs 5,568 crore ($808.71 million) in the quarter ending June 30, compared with Rs 4,600 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

7. Kumar Mangalam Birla's FY19 remuneration from UltraTech fell 19% to ₹15.3 cr
  • UltraTech's Chairman and Non-Executive Director Kumar Mangalam Birla received an annual remuneration ₹15.53 crore in FY 2018-19, down 18.82 per cent over the year-ago period, remuneration of ₹19.13 crore in FY 2017-18.
  • Birla, had received a remuneration of ₹22.50 crore. However in FY 2017-18 median remuneration of employees was ₹7.65 lakh, an increase of 8.5%.
