Lucknow’s iconic Hazratganj Chauraha renamed as Atal Chowk

Lucknow's famous Hazratganj Chauraha has been renamed as "Atal Chowk" in the memory of former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, on the occasion of his first death anniversary, from August 16, 2019.

The decision was taken by the Yogi Adityanath government in memory of Vajpayee, who passed away last year on August 16 at the age of 93.
