1. Regional Conference on Good Governance to be held at Jaipur on November 14-15, 2019

2. Parliament passes the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Amendment Bill, 2019
  • Rajya Sabha passed the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Amendment Bill, 2019, to the anti-terror law to give powers to the central government to designate an individual as terrorist and seize his properties.
  • The Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Amendment Bill that seeks to amend the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967, was passed by Rajya Sabha with 147 votes in favour and 42 against.

  • India has slipped down to the 7th place in the global GDP rankings of 2018, with the UK and France forging ahead to the fifth and sixth spots, data compiled by the World Bank showed.
