1. India successfully test fires Quick Reaction Surface to Air Missile

Defence Research Development Organisation (DRDO) successfully flight-tested its state-of-the-art Quick Reaction Surface-to-Air Missiles (QRSAM) against live aerial targets from Integrated Test Range (ITR), Chandipur, Odisha.
Two missiles, developed by DRDO, were tested against two live targets meeting complete mission objectives of engaging the targets. QRSAM, with many state of the art technologies, engaged the targets at different ranges and altitudes.

2. Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina to visit India in October

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will visit India in October to discuss issues of mutual interest including the issue of water sharing of common rivers.
This was announced in Dhaka by the Foreign Minister of Bangladesh AK Abdul Momen.

3. Mindtree appoints former Cognizant executive as new MD, CEO

The Bengaluru-based IT firm Mindtree Ltd announced the appointment of former Cognizant executive Debashis Chatterjee as its new Chief Executive Officer.
Chatterjee has been appointed for a term of five years till August 1, 2024
The company also appointed Larsen & Toubro’s (L&T) Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director S N Subrahmanyan as its non-Executive Vice-Chairman.

4. HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ inaugurates TechEx – a technology exhibition

Union Human Resource Development Minister, Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ inaugurated theTechEx - technology exhibition at IIT Delhi.
TechEx was organized to demonstrate products and prototypes developed under the two flagship schemes of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) namely IM Pacting Research, Innovation and Technology (IMPRINT) and Uchhatar Avishkar Yojana (UAY).
