9th India-China Financial Dialogue held in New Delhi

The 9th India-China Financial dialogue was held in New Delhi. A high level Chinese delegation led by Ms. Zou Jiayi, Vice Minister, Ministry of Finance of China interacted with the Indian delegation led by Shri Atanu Chakraborty, Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Government of India on wide-ranging issues of mutual interest.

The India-China Financial Dialogue is a mechanism between the two countries with an aim to promote cooperation in the financial sector.

During this dialogue, both sides had in-depth exchange of views on macroeconomic situation & policy, cooperation in multilateral framework, bilateral investment and financial cooperation.

Both sides also committed to promote a favorable environment to enable continuous growth of bilateral trade and investment, strengthen their efforts to promote a more balanced and healthier development of trade and economic cooperation and further enhance the closer development partnership between the two countries.

Mukesh Ambani tops list of richest Indians for 8th consecutive year: IIFL Wealth Hurun India Rich List 2019

According to the latest IIFL Wealth Hurun India Rich List 2019, Reliance Industries' Chairman Mukesh Ambani has topped the list of richest Indians for the eighth consecutive year with a net worth of Rs 3,80,700 crore.

London-based SP Hinduja & family, with assets worth Rs 1,86,500 crore, retained the second rank in the list, followed by Wipro founder Azim Premji at third place with a wealth of Rs 1,17,100 crore.

LN Mittal, chairman and CEO of ArcelorMittal, was the 4th richest with a wealth of Rs 1,07,300 crore and Gautam Adani was placed on the 5th position with a net worth of Rs 94,500 crore.

Others in the top 10 include Uday Kotak at the 6th place with a wealth of Rs 94,100 crore, Cyrus S Poonawalla at 7th position with Rs 88,800 crore assets, Cyrus Pallonji Mistry at 8th spot with a wealth of Rs 76,800 crore, Shapoor Pallonji at 9th position with a net worth of Rs 76,800 crore and Dilip Shanghvi at 10th slot with Rs 71,500-crore wealth.

Minister Harsh Vardhan launches ‘TB Harega Desh Jeetega’ Campaign


 Multi-stakeholder and community participation shall form the pivot of the countrywide campaign.

“As part of our commitment to end-TB, we have established patient forums in over 95 per cent of all districts in the first 100 days, which clearly shows our strong commitment to ending TB in the shortest time.

These district forums will bring the voices of the affected to the fore, and highlight on-ground challenges faced by patients and their families in accessing TB care services, he stated.
