India France 2nd Annual Defence Dialogue held in Paris


Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh, who is currently on a visit to France, held the Second India-France Ministerial level Annual Defence Dialogue with his French counterpart, the Minister for the Armed Forces Ms. Florence Parly on October 8th in Paris.


Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh on Wednesday said he had “fruitful deliberations” with his French counterpart during which they reviewed the full spectrum of the bilateral defence engagement.

Cabinet approves MoUs between India, foreign broadcasters in the field of Radio and Television

The Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given ex-post facto approval for the MoUs between India and Foreign Broadcasters in the field of Radio and Television to facilitate exchanges of technical expertise and training of manpower to meet emerging challenges in broadcasting.

The MoUs with the Foreign Broadcasters will help: Public broadcaster in exploring new visions; New Strategies to address the demands of new technologies and stiff competition; Media liberalization; and Globalization.

Cabinet approves 5% hikes additional dearness allowance (DA) for government employees and pensioners

The Union Cabinet Chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi approved to dearness allowance (DA) by 5% in a move that will benefit about 50 lakh Central Government employees and 65 lakh pensioners.

 The hike, based on the recommendations of the 7th Central Pay Commission.

The Union Cabinet has approved a 5 percent hike in the dearness allowance (DA) provided to central government employees and dearness relief (DR) to pensioners with effect from July 1, 2019.
