Minister Jitendra Singh inaugurates 11th Nuclear Energy Conclave in New Delhi

11th Nuclear Energy Conclave: The Union Minister of State for Development of North Eastern Region (I/C), Minister of State (MoS) Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, Dr Jitendra Singh inaugurated the 11th Edition of Nuclear Energy Conclave 2019 in New Delhi.

It was held under the theme “Economics of Nuclear Power- Innovation towards Safer & Cost Effective Technologies”.  11th Nuclear Energy Conclave organized by India Energy Forum (IEF).

  • A nuclear plant is coming up in the Gorakhpur of Haryana.
  • A “Hall of Nuclear Energy” was opened in Pragati Maidan in Delhi and a similar Hall is being planned for the Department of Space.

Danx-19: Defence of Andaman and Nicobar Islands exercise 2019


Spanning over a period of five days, components of the Indian Army, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard carried out mobilisation and field manoeuvres to validate defensive plans of Headquarters ANC towards pursuance of the Command’s responsibility, namely ensuring territorial integrity of the A&N Islands.

Closing Ceremony: 14th edition of Indo-Mongolian Joint Exercise Nomadic Elephant 2019

Closing Ceremony Nomadic Elephant 2019: In the series of joint bilateral exercises between India & Mongolia, both nations have once again come together to enhance bilateral friendship to the next level. The fourteenth edition of joint military training exercise between Indian Army and Mongolian Army named EX NOMADIC ELEPHANT 2019 which commenced on 05 Oct 19 concluded at Foreign Training Node (FTN), Bakloh on 18 Oct 19.

 The exercise will be conducted from 05 to 18 Oct 19 at Bakloh.

The Mongolian Army is being represented by officers and troops of the elite 084 Air Borne Special Task Battalion while Indian Army is being represented by a battalion of the RAJPUTANA RIFLES Regiment.

Nomadic Elephant - XIV is the fourteenth edition between the two nations aimed at training troops in counter insurgency & counter terrorism operations under United Nations mandate.

The joint exercise will enhance defence co-operation and military relations between the two nations. It is an ideal platform for the armies of both the nations to share their experiences & best practices and gain mutually during the joint training.

ECI appoints Vivek Dube as Special Observer for Sikkim Bye-Elections

Special Observer for Sikkim Bye-Elections: Election Commission of India (ECI) has appointed Vivek Dube (IPS AP 1981 Retd) as Special Observer for the ensuing Bye Elections to the State Legislative Assemblies of Sikkim 2019 in general and specifically for 10 Poklok -Kamrang Assembly Constituency in Sikkim. 

Dube has been deputed to specifically report to ECI about Law and Order situation and oversee the deployment and other security related issues there. The Commission has taken the decision in view of inputs and complaints received.
It may be recalled that Dube was also deputed earlier as Special Observer to State of West Bengal during the Lok Sabha General Elections in April 2019.......Read More



DRDO signs 30 agreements on Technology Transfer

Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has signed 30 licensing agreements for Transfer of Technology (ToT) with 16 Indian companies, including three start-ups, at Vibrant Goa Global Expo and Summit 2019, which is being held at Goa University, Taleigao, Goa between October 17-19, 2019.

The DRDO develops technologies for the Armed Forces and has been carrying out ToT of these technologies to the defence industry for end use of the Armed Forces.

Indian Armed Forces are procuring ready-to-eat meals, survival ration and emergency flying ration products from companies which have acquired ToT from DRDO. These products cater to the requirements of the Armed Forces deployed in inhospitable terrain and hostile weather conditions. These products have high nutrition value and higher shelf-life. These technologies are useful for the larger interest of society.
