1. Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina on four day official visit to India
  • Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina arrived in New Delhi on a four day visit to India.
  • This is the first visit of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina after assuming office for the third consecutive term.
  • Sheikh Hasina will come to India to join the summit of World Economic Forum (WEF).

2. President Ram Nath Kovind Presented Vayoshreshtha Samman - 2019
  • President Ram Nath Kovind presented the Vayoshreshtha Samman - 2019 on the eminent senior citizens and institutions in New Delhi at a function organized by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment.
  • Vayoshreshtha Samman is a Scheme of awards instituted by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment and gradually upgraded to the status of National Awards, for institutions involved in rendering distinguished service for the cause of elderly persons especially indigent senior citizens and to eminent citizens in recognition of their service/achievements.

3. India Kazakhstan Joint Military Exercise KAZIND -2019 begins on 3 to 15 October 2019
  • The 4th edition of annual military exercise KAZIND 2019 between India and Kazakhstan army commenced on 3 to 15 October 2019 at Pithoragarh.
  • The aim of exercise is joint training of troops in Counter Insurgency/ Counter Terrorism operations in both Jungle and Mountainous terrain.

4. Envoys of five nations present credentials to President Ram Nath Kovind
  • Ambassadors of Denmark, France, European Union, Mexico and Kazakhstan presented credentials to the President of India, Ram Nath Kovind, at a ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

5. Indo Maldives Joint Military Exercise Ekuverin - 2019 at Aundh Military Station, Pune from 07 to 20 Oct 19
  • Tenth edition of the Joint Military Exercise Ekuverin between the Indian Army and the Maldives National Defence Force will be organised from 07 to 20 October 2019 at Aundh Military Station in Pune, Maharashtra.
  • The Indian Army and the Maldives National Defence Forces have been conducting Exercise Ekuverin meaning ‘Friends’ in the Dhivehi language since 2009.

6. Indian Naval Ship Tarkash visit to St Denis, Reunion Island, France
  • As part of Indian Navy's Overseas Deployment to Africa, Europe and Russia, Indian Naval Ship Tarkash arrived at St Denis, Reunion Island, France today, on 03 Oct 19 for a three day visit.
  • The ship is part of the Indian Navy's Western Fleet and under the Operational Command of Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Western Naval Command, based at Mumbai.

7. 14th edition of Indo-Mongolian Joint Exercise Nomadic Elephant 2019
  • 14th edition of Indo – Mongolian joint military training, Exercise Nomadic Elephant-XIV, being conducted over a period of 14 days, will commence from 05 Oct 2019.
  • The exercise will be conducted from 05 Oct 19 to 18 Oct 19 at Bakloh.
  • The Mongolian Army is being represented by officers and troops of the elite 084 Airborne Special Task Battalion while Indian Army is being represented by a contingent of a battalion of RAJPUTANA RIFLES.

8. Made in India: HM Amit Shah flags off Delhi-Katra Vande Bharat Express
  • Made in India Delhi-Katra 'Vande Bharat' Express: Union Minister for Home Affairs, Amit Shah flagged off the New Delhi-Katra 'Vande Bharat' Express, in New Delhi.
  • This is the second ‘Vande Bharat’ express after the New Delhi - Varanasi semi-high speed train flagged off by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi in February this year.
