German Chancellor Angela Merkel on two day official visit to India

German Chancellor Angela Merkel arrived in New Delhi: Angela Merkel is on a two-day official visit to India for the Fifth Biennial Inter Governmental Consultations during which India and Germany will discuss the deepening of cooperation in traditional sectors and explore possibilities for cooperation in newer areas like green urban mobility, AI.

German Chancellor Merkel is accompanied by officials of 15 ministries and a high-power business delegation.
Ms Merkel was received at the airport by MoS Prime Minister's Office Jitendra Singh. 

German Chancellor Angela Merkel arrived in Delhi beginning her State visit to India during which she, along with PM Narendra Modi will co-chair the 5th-IGC (Inter Governmental Consultations).

She is on a two-day visit during which she will hold talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on a host of bilateral issues, with nearly 20 agreements including on museum cooperation, football, agriculture, development and social security expected to be signed between the two countries.
