1. Former Chief Election Commissioner TN Seshan Passes Away at 66 in Chennai

Former Chief Election Commissioner Tirunellai Narayana Iyer Seshan passed away of a cardiac arrest in Chennai. He was 86.
TN Seshan retired 1955 batch Indian Administrative Service officer of the Tamil Nadu cadre, Seshan became the 10th Chief Election Commissioner of India, serving from December 12, 1990 to December 11, 1996.

2. Minister Dharmendra Pradhan to visit UAE from 10-12 November 2019

Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas and Steel Dharmendra Pradhan, accompanied by an official and business delegation, will be visiting UAE from 10-12 November 2019, to participate in the Inaugural Ministerial Session of Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition & Conference (ADIPEC) on 11th November 2019 and also in a Ministerial Panel Discussion on the same day.

The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change has given Environment Clearance to Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) to set up new 2G Ethanol plant at Panipat.
The Union Minister of Environment, Forest & Climate Change (MoEFCC) and Information & Broadcasting, Prakash Javadekar announced this in a tweet.

Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) is organizing 27th Conference of Central and State Statistical Organizations (COCSSO) during 11-12th November 2019 at Biswa Bangla, Kolkata.
The Conference will be inaugurated by Pravin Srivastava, Chief Statistician of India cum Secretary, MoSPI on 11th November, 2019.
The theme of this year’s Conference “Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)”, has been chosen for intensive and focused discussions aimed at filling the data gaps and improvement of timelines/quality in SDG monitoring.
