1. Ram Vilas Paswan releases Water Quality Report for State Capitals, Mumbai tops ranking for quality of tap water, Delhi at bottom as analysed by BIS
  • The Union Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Ram Vilas Paswan released the findings of a study that was conducted through the Bureau of India Standards (BIS) on the quality of piped drinking water.
  • Mumbai topped the ranking released by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) for quality of tap water. Delhi finished at the bottom, with 11 out of 11 samples failing on 19 parameters.


2. 2-day Regional Conference on Replication of Good Governance Practices concludes
  • The two-day Regional Conference on ‘Replication of Good Governance Practices in UTs of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh being organised in Jammu concluded.
  • The Conference was inaugurated by the Union Minister (PP) Dr Jitendra Singh.
  • The two-day event, various sessions were organized on the topics ranging from Digital Governance to Capacity Building and Personnel Administration.


3. India to host the 8th International Conference on Agricultural Statistics in New Delhi
  • The 8th International Conference on Agricultural Statistics (ICAS-VIII) will be organized by the Ministry of Agriculture in New Delhi from 18th to 21st November 2019.
  • The conference will be inaugurated by the Union Minister for Agriculture & Farmers Welfare Narendra Singh Tomar and Chief Guest will be Bill Gates.
  • The conference will be organised in collaboration with the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, ISI-CAS, FAO, the USDA, ADB, World Bank, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Eurostat, AfDB and various other organizations.

Amit Shah to Inaugurate the 15 Days’ Aadi Mahotsav 2019 at Dilli Haat, INA
  • Union Home Minister Amit Shah will inaugurate the National Tribal Festival “Aadi Mahotsav” at Dilli Haat, INA.
  • The theme of the 15 days’ Mahotsav (16th to 30th November, 2019) is: “A Celebration of the Spirit of Tribal Culture, Craft, Cuisine and Commerce”. 
  • The festival will feature exhibition-cum-sale of tribal handicrafts, art, paintings, fabric, jewellery and much more through about 210 stalls. Over 1000 tribal artisans and artists from different States creating a Mini-India will participate in the festival.


5. Shripad Naik Inaugurates Two day International Conference on Yoga at Mysuru, Karnataka
  • Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for AYUSH and Defence, Shripad Yesso Naik inaugurated two days International Conference on Yoga at Mysuru, Karnataka.
  • The theme of the conference is ‘Yoga for Heart Care’. More than 700 national and international delegates are expected to participate in the conference spread over ten technical sessions involving fifty resource persons & experts.
